+1. I know, right? And Platell’s “apology” (which is online for free if you know where to go) was anything but that. It’s chock full of shade about how Kate works hard by spending hours picking out her dresses, sitting for fittings, and consulting with her hairdresser.

The palaces’ leash on the British press is legendary. Omid Scobie and others have written all about it. The palaces big up the royal family in return for photo ops and rumors about Harry and Megan. Problem is, Kate and William haven’t been working enough for the photo ops, reader engagement with articles about “the 10 times Meghan broke royal protocol 7 years ago” is dismal, and the tables are po’d now. So we’re getting blasted with pieces like this from Platell and Liz Jones, and lots about the ongoing feud between Charles and William. It’s a sight to behold.
