Georgia Hyundai Plant ICE Raid

Democrats should be supporting this? What party is now for the worker? Please tell me so I can join that party? Democrats and Republicans only care about the rich.

You missed the plot. the 500 people working there were setting up the plant and training the 8,000 american workers. they were not yet done setting up the plant and now will not be training the 8,000 US workers. Poof, local economy destroyed.

It sounds like the US apology tour is starting. They must know how badly they screwed up.

“South Korea’s government has said it will launch an investigation into whether human rights violations were committed when hundreds of its citizens were detained in a US immigration raid.”

Workers were detained without being informed if their rights, and were angry that Ice agents mocked them with remarks about “North Korea” and “rocket man” – an insult Trump has previously used about Pyongyang’s leader, Kim Jong-un.
Guardian also reported that a leaked ICE document showed that ICE knowingly detained workers who were in the US legally, on appropriate valid visas.

These are the high quality ICE agents we keep hearing so much about.

What dreamy heros.

ICE also made them sign papers at gun point and without providing translation. 70 people in one room, not medical care, no food, shackled, etc. Now that the workers are free from the US they are talking.

Trump sent some nobody(Christopher Landau) to lecture the South Koreans over this? While Rubio visits the only important country in the word to laugh about bombing Qatar?

It’s just public slap after slap to the Korean’s face. When will the Koreans learn you have to set up a sovereign wealth fund involving Trump‘s children. The US is a third world country under Trump and the Republicans.

This is the context

Evidently, Hyundai was warned, they had issues a number of times. They had applied and had been denied. They had a history of labor violations, child labor etc.

So, I gather the chamber of commerce's or Democrats plan here would be to look the other way, go out of their way to help them comply, keep it out of the news, cover it up if necessary and hide any malfeasance.

Did I miss anything?

Yes, you missed that they were here legally and many of them were doing work they were legally allowed to do and because some of the people there were doping work they were not allowed to do, the rounded everyone that didn't have citizenship and threw them in a prison for a week.

There are questions around the work they were doing like pouring concrete. We have domestic labor that can do that. Curious- were the US citizens rounded up with the 475 of Korean descent?

Made up by maga who two weeks ago did not know there was a EV and EV battery plant in the US.

The US is not apologizing. It’s more of a shake down and collections operation. Got to paid for protection!

DHS using agents who should be focused on getting the worst of the worst criminals out of our country to mess with workers with legal visas instead so we have an international incident with one of our strongest allies instead.

DHS is violating the Laken Riley Act.

Wow, that apologetic Trump tweet was clearly not written by him (too many coherent sentences.) FAFO MAGA. Those Koreans are not bringing back their billions in investments after you threw them in detention.

People have always joked about government incompetence. Boy, you ain’t seen nothing yet. The adults have been fired or moved on. You got nothing but clowns now. Sorry, Georgians. I wish you had made better choices.

It was probably a step up from having to live in Ellabell, Georgia.

The “apology” does not mention South Korea, Hyundai or LG.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPovba2_5f8
“Very Unpleasant, Won't Go Back': South Korean Workers OUTRAGED Over ICE Raids On Hyundai Plant. More than 300 South Korean workers have returned home after a major U.S. immigration raid at a Hyundai-LG plant in Georgia. Many of them were there on short-term visas to install machinery and train U.S. staff — not criminals. Yet videos of shackled detainees sparked outrage in South Korea, with families describing the treatment as humiliating and unfair. The incident is now threatening diplomatic ties and future investments between the U.S. and South Korea. Stay tuned for more updates.”

After they were chained to walls all but one declined to stay.

Someone needs to interview that person.

How did someone get the @WhiteHouse Xitter handle to post Trump quotes of Dementia Don making a fool of himself? That's amazing level of trolling!

Who is this radical leftist deep state agent "Landau" expressing "deep regret" about Trump securing our border and protecting American jobs?

LOCK HIM UP!!!

Georgians can design and build their own Hyundai plants.
