Are we talking about Trump's vendetta against Covington and Perkins Coie

Another from that hearing:

"Referring to law firms that pledged free legal services to Trump, she [the judge] questioned whether the administration made orders as a way to obtain such promises. She noted that concerns about Paul Weiss security risks disappeared after the firm pledged legal aid: “$40 million in free legal services is enough to trust Paul Weiss again?”"

A person.

"A former leader of Perkins Coie's government contracts group has left the firm"

I know personally that this partner has been looking to leave for more than a year. Nothing to do with Trump.

So he’s not a hero of resistance, nor is VE?

Many of Perkins’ largest clients have government contracts, that is greater impact than just govt contracts group work

"Today, Jenner & Block filed a lawsuit to stop an unconstitutional executive order that has already been declared unlawful by a federal court. We expect to prevail quickly.

For more than 100 years, Jenner has stood firm and tirelessly advocated for our clients against all adversaries, including against unlawful government action. We once again go to court to do just that. To do otherwise would mean compromising our ability to zealously advocate for all of our clients and capitulating to unconstitutional government coercion, which is simply not in our DNA."

Microsoft just fired Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, a firm which caved, and hired Jenner & Block, a firm that’s fighting back.

Two wins for Jenner & Block today - they’re also representing Harvard.

This is delicious. I hope all those law firms that succumbed to extortion lose the vast majority of their clients and the firms go under.
