Is the Target Boycott Really Effective?

Seriously? Are you not on TikTok? People are boycotting based on their reversal of DEI. Black and brown people are REALLY boycotting Target.

I can't believe their CEO has not been fired.

Isn’t there a lawsuit against them for tanking the stock, based on the company’s asinine decision?!

Sharpon needs to make it national. Target needs to be the poster boy. Economic resistance works. Sure, carry it on to Pepsi and Walmart.

(Any American who wants to support American jobs, fair wages, and is against corporate welfare needs to never set foot in Walmart again. Especially if you have little $$.)

My Target was so annoying to shop at bc it put those annoying plastic barriers in front of everything so the boycott was very easy to get behind. I didn’t need much of a nudge to start shopping elsewhere.

Yes, VERY effective.

I'd need to start shopping at Target to be able to boycott it.

People with more money than sense shop at Target.

Our Target is much nicer, cleaner and in a better part of town. They also have more staff and a nicer customer base. Yes the over products are similar, but I’m happy to pay slightly more for a better shopping experience.

The founder is MAGA. He sold his stock 20 years ago. The Vanguard group owns controlling interest in Home Depot and Lowe’s. I’m sending money back to my 401k when I shop.

Stopped shopping at Target in February; I do miss browsing in the store, but our budget can't handle that during this time of price increases anyhow.

Target forgot how many of their customers are urban / suburban women and thought we would noticed the rollback of DEI, which also includes Equity (for women) and Inclusion (for disabled people.)

Costco has been great for our basic needs..

Another suburban woman here who hasn’t shopped at Target since February and hasn’t missed it. I see no reason to go back.

Another one here. Haven’t been since 1.14 and don’t miss it.
