If you have been paying attention, companies hate workers more and more. The more money they male the more they hate us and the least they want to pay us. They have been bitc***g and mo***g about the wage growth we got post COVID and the small period where workers slightly had the upper band in their choice of employment. Then they started hating remote workers coming up with all kind of nonsensical studies about it's ineffectiveness.

It's shameful that corporations (corporations are people too remember that line) have managed to turn us into hating ourselves to the point where we turn against each other.

Honestly ask yourself. How has the existence of a fed worker render your life miserable?

Which is why it is incomprehensible that the Democrats decided boys in girls sports and defund the police were more important than an actual labor movement.

I've seen my own MAGA voting in-laws disavow this shit show to tell me they have been calling Congress to complain about the DOGE destruction. I've sat in meetings where REPUBLICAN members of the House and Senate called this DOGE BS things like "cold and dysfunctional."

A storm is brewing. I don't know what backward isolated little bubble you're living in to shrug this all off but there's fast and growing backlash everywhere I turn to.

Try talking to people who are actually in the middle of this. I don't care what agency - DoD, DHS, you name it. They are all seeing the insanity going on right now. This is not some fabricated drama on some forum, this is reality.

look at the recent layoffs in Big Tech, and the same companies are simultaneously hiring hundreds of thousands of cheap H1Bs.

did any H1Bs show up at your agency as you friends were fired? imagine how that feels.

This is being repeated, but not the same. A company looted and sold for parts by private equity, that's close, but this time it's the entire government. This is not cost cutting as it's not targeting the big ticket items, it's not targeting redundancy. It's just edicts to eliminate a large flat percent of employees, without time to sort (first round). The purpose is theatrics and intimidation. Work is not shifting to the contractor cronies. The contracts are also being cut, everyone up for negotiation is braced for worst-case. It spreads from there.
