Well if you look across the political spectrum there is zero good on the right. I’ll take somewhat good on the left. |
It seems you're fine with our current border policies? |
NPR=National Propaganda Radio |
If Republicans actually wanted to fix the ongoing border crisis they would have passed the recent bipartisan border control bill. But they don’t really want a fix. How else will they scare up votes from the proles. There is literally nothing redeeming about conservatives in 2024. |
It wasn't a bipartisan border control bill. It was the Democrats pretending to care while legalizing all the illegal migrants of the last few years AND still allowing something like 1.5 million illegal migrants a year. Why would you vote for it? |
It’s so hard to listen to so many of their reports because you think you are going to learn about a topic but then get lectured to about by someone with a very progressive take on the matter instead of multiple scientists who presents facts.
Here is an example about a story today filed under health on birth order and being gay entitled Gay people often have older brothers. Why? And does it matter? https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2024/04/15/1243861703/sexuality-birth-order-gay-siblings So instead of actually an in depth explanation of why this occurs and including the scientific causes the reporter starts off the report by interviewing a book author (not a scientist) who wrote a semi-biographical novel about being the youngest sibling who is gay. The quote in part in “That's why, when he saw my inquiry about a statistical finding that connects sexuality and birth order, he was wary. "To be frank, I find these kinds of studies that're looking for something rooted in the body to explain sexuality to be kind of bunk. I think they rely on a really binary understanding of sexuality itself," he said. The story does go on to provide a quick explanation but then ends on their being something sinister about studying it. It is tiresome to listen to when story after story is framed toward a really progressive slant. I feel lectured to not informed. |
Who told you that? A Republican. They lied. https://www.sinema.senate.gov/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Bipartisan-Border-Security-Package-Myths-vs-Facts.pdf Nothing redeeming about those liars. |
I don't think it's changed that much honestly. It's been the same for the last 20 years. I think it's more boring now, but that's it. I listen to the app and I don't hear all of this "wokeness" that people keep referring to. It is such BS. Not that I would find anything wrong with "wokeness". I think they used to have great shows like Michele Martin's show. NPR never really supports diverse programming so I have no idea what people are talking about. I hate Jenn White and don't consider her show to give a diverse viewpoint. With that said, I listened to This American Life for the first time in a long time on Saturday. I literally laughed out loud and was reminded how great some of the shows are! |
She is about 1200 pounds so I assume she is ill often. |
We miss our pre-2000 NPR. No donations from us since about 2015. |
Interesting that, at least to date, NPR has refused to cover the Cass Report out of Europe. The NYT and the Atlantic did. What are they so afraid of? |
Maybe they are still validating and following up on all of the flaws. There were a lot so it may take some time… |
Other news outlets have managed to do fair reporting already. But, yes, NPR is probably just biding its time to be balanced and thorough in its reporting. |
More so than the NYT or Atlantic would? Doubtful. |
I think we all know… |
