From what I saw, Baltimore county schools have graduations at Towson, and most of the PG HS schools are in the Xfinity Center arena from UMD or the Show Place Arena.

So you're saying pretty much that most of the high schools from neighboring counties have a place to graduate that's in their county, mean while half of the schools in our county are out of the county or further away, smh.

What about the Soccerplex stadium? Has that ever been looked into?

If you've known MCPS graduations for a long time, point out to the Strathmore Music Center too.

Strathmore's capacity is only 1,976.

Why does it have to be indoors? Colleges have graduations outdoors all the time.

And so have HS. Some are this year again having it outside at their own HS. Need Indoor because apparently district can't purchase enough tents for inclement weather.

What about a rain date?

My HS graduation was outside and it rained and we all survived.

And you walked 5 miles to school each way every day too, right?

No. Took a bus. Graduation is one day

Not having graduation at your high school is really weird. If you want to build massive schools, have capacity at the football field for these type of events.

It was working out fine for most HS who pivoted to football fields for the last two years.

Football fields most expensive it seems. Not sure how though?

HS is most logical. Livestream in this day and age for grandparents and other relatives.

But if you have more than 2 kids, the other kids can't attend if at the HS. Three tickets ok if just mom,dad,1child.

Do you know how many siblings would be overjoyed not to have to go. I mean seriously. It’s graduation. They say your name for 2 seconds.

+1 I'm pretty sure there was only one MCPS HS that had Strathmore as their graduation location back then.
