I don’t think anyone is saying to “not be happy”; it just seems only one school posted in the way SR did and that is what got attention. You can be happy and not post in the way they did (holding up #1 and the text). If it had been a championship game maybe that is one thing.
And the “teenagers will be teenagers” sounds like the old adage “boys will be boys” … maybe another adage would also be good - “act like you’ve been there before” maybe even if you haven’t (first time beating a team etc). |
| I hope the poor girls at McDonough will survive the harsh and vile harassment the Stone Ridge girls gave them after the game. I am so glad that parents from Visi, GC, Saints, and SJC are here to bring this to light. It is so nice to have such crusading figures in our area to right these terrible wrongs! I'm sure you are all writing stern emails to Head of School to stop this type of behavior right now. This is absolutely the forum to solve this problem. |
Stop being douches and act like you have been there before and have a little bit of class is all that's being asked. Well, that and maybe correct your spoiled-ass daughters' inappropriate behavior instead of buying her a new BMW... |
| Only other school I have seen post scrimmage results is St. Mary's - and at least they post their losses. |
I'm sure the school you pay for your daughter to attend draws girls from all areas of the socio-economic spectrum who are forced to take public transportation. These girls are trash, not like you and me. You are a hero Sir, to bring this all to our attention. Your hard work on this and chasing down the criminals at places like Comet Pizza are also commendable. Hopefully, these terrible criminals who flaunt good order and discipline by posting a picture of themselves after winning a scrimmage do not go unpunished. Please call Stone Ridge immediately at (301) 657-4322 to report future crimes. It is good to know "The Teenage Girl Morality Policy" are out there, doing the unsung work, protecting us all. God Bless You! |
| You all sound like a bunch of teens even less mature than the actual teens...really ridiculous and unbecoming to be talking about young girls like this. My daughter wasn't involved in any of these games, but in all honesty, you all should be ashamed of yourselves picking apart a teen's decision to make a harmless social media post. |
It is hilarious how utter jealousy about the perceived wealth of SR families completely clouds any valid point trying to be made here about sportsmanship. |
I liked his use of "douches" on a forum discussing high school girls' lacrosse. Your wife and daughter(s) are lucky ladies! |
The word is Police and it is not spelled with a Y. Is spelling not your strong point let me take a guess that you attended SR as well. |
Nope, just a dude with autocorrect. Always good to have the Grammar Police too. Get all kinds on here. |
FYI I'm not a dad and I don't identify as male. |
| All those girls posting have done is put a target on their backs they still have SPSG, NDP, and Bryn Mawr on the schedule and those posts will be bullet bulletin material and used as motivation. |
| My DD attends one of those schools and the post was printed out and put up yesterday see you in a week or so enjoy the thumping you get at home... |
Emphasis on perceived. Middle of pack for ISL at best in terms of wealth. |
| Which is also a perception, unless you have some secret analysis of ISL family HHI and net worth. |
