Do Your Teenage Boys Still Wear Pajamas?

My 10 year old wears undies only and has since he was about 7.

Similar - 14 year old in poplin or flannel pants, no shirt. 11 year old wears a t shirt and men’s poplin boxers as pajama shorts.

Poplin?

Poplin is the way a material is woven. Cotton poplin is what crisp dress shirts are usually made of - it’s lightweight and smooth. It’s different but similar to percale, which is what crisp bedsheets are made of, as opposed to sateen.

Just stop buying them, if he doesn't say anything, he doesn't wear them and if he wears them - which he probably doesn't - and he wears them, he will ask for new ones.

My 21 year old DS wears pj pants and random tee shirts. Don’t think they outgrow that really so maybe just get pj bottoms? My son likes the ll bean flannel ones

+1. But I also think that a lot of boys start sleeping in the nude from the onset of puberty - at least that was the case with my
DS (14).

+1, that was about the time that my sons (14 and 16 yo) transitioned to sleeping in the nude.

15 going on 16

Wears PJ shorts from Target (mens Goodfellow brand, make a really nice soft short for sleeping) and a random shirt that they only wear around the house but not to bed

Even if he doesn't wear PJ's to bed perhaps he likes them to lounge in. They are just so comfortable.

Same with my DS (16). He loves to lounge in them but prefers to sleep in the nude because he doesn't like to feel constricted by clothing when he sleeps.

So he sleeps in just the pants?

What about christmas pajamas? Do you buy those for your sons either to lounge or to sleep in?

Yes I do, but pjs in our house are for lounging, but very much expected under the tree. To actually sleep in, DD 18 wears a t-shirt and underwear and DS 16 wears nothing. It's kind of funny because after finding out he had started sleeping in the nude a couple of years ago, I didn't get him pajamas that Christmas - no need, right? - and you would have thought I sold the dog or something. "But Mom, I still like them to lay round the house in!"

Some things are just tradition.

That's funny but it is nice to have traditions and they are very cosy

Yes I buy them for my DS (17) to lounge in. He has been a full time nude sleeper since his early teens but love to lounge around the house in them. The same goes for DD (15), she sleeps in just underwear and a t-shirt but also loves to lounge in them. As a PP wrote some things are just tradition .
