There is an instinct that some people have, especially Americans, which compels them to recoil at any suggestion that they alter their trajectory. In mid March 2020, as a New Yorker debating about whether to go on our planned family spring break, half of my friends changed their plans and bolted for the Hamptons, upstate ny, Connecticut etc. The other half was hell bent on not changing their plans for whistler, verbier, Maldives etc. This half would say “we are not going to live in fear” and “mind over matter”. They believed all the quacks that said covid was harmless and you could gargle salt water and magic it away. They believed that adjusting to circumstance was an indictment of their strength of character. It was bizarre. |

An elementary school teacher? Why am I bothering with you, your ability to understand complex issues ended at "don't eat paste" |
You are a disgusting elitist so typical of this area. I can only imagine how insufferable you are in real life. People talk about you behind your back. They don't miss you when you're not around. |
Sub for a week in any elementary class, and come back and say that again with a straight face. We both know you're a farce. Stay scared and afraid, again. |
The particle size for smoke is large enough that a mask actually would be effective for a change. There's actual science for that. |
Shhhh, if you use the word science you scare people. |
Damn |
I see low lives at the playground |
You can tell by this thread which people were the ones that belittled others for not wearing a mask outside during Spring/Summer 2020.

I just went out for a short walk in my Montgomery county neighborhood that usually has a ton of people outside around now. I didn’t see a single other person and it was kind of spooky. But I did get a nice picture of the sun. |
