Is 2024 about trans/crime/dei vs abortion and book banning type of issues?

I also find the obsession with trans fertility to be creepy

I think it’s the opposite. The trans rights movement has been taken over by the incels.

Whatever it is that you think is clearly quite wrong

Must be the GOP running the place.

COVID killed Baltimore's downtown.

Obviously the crime is bad, but there is more than one factor here.

Harborplace is empty because it’s been sold.

So what happened to the other trans thread? I assume that one poster reported it after they were backed into a corner and couldn’t come up with a coherent response?

Seems so.

There's really no way to have a respectful debate about the issue, any words that are not 100% supportive are an attack. And will be properly taken down.

The truth is hard to argue against. Sometimes stifling dissent is the only way to win.

Why do Democrats not support women in sports?

It will now head to the Senate. They should vote to protect women's sports - if Schumer allows a vote.
Biden has said he will veto it.
And, to add insult to injury - Biden plans to alter Title IX to allow people to compete on sports teams that align with their gender identity.

Don't tell us that Democrats support women. They don't.

You are trying so hard to make this issue happen but there is no way a few trans athletes are going to distract from overturning roe. That was an utter disaster and we all know it and are going to vote accordingly. But you keep posting all your woke or anti woke or ultra woke or bespoke woke garbage as nauseum if you must.

We know how we are voting and it is pro choice and it is important. You should join us because it is important for everyone, not just Dems.

DP. Yes, Title IX is dead. Abortion is the issue that will decide the upcoming elections. And a side effect, intended or unintended, is the end of Title IX.

This should please all feminists. /s
It's been a good 51 years for women. Too bad this administration wants to end it all.
This is as anti-woman as you can get.

Shut up already. Don't you have your OMG JK Rowling was the victim of a WITCH HUNT thread to go be an idiot on.

Shut up about the end of Title IX?

If that's the tradeoff for abortion rights and gun control, as a moderate, I'll take it. But not happily.

NP. I believe this is where we are. We will get abortion rights and gun control, but at the cost of women’s safety, Title 9, and things like women’s scholarships, STEM advancement for girls, etc. That’s the choice.

I don't think we're getting gun control regardless. The best case is banning a class of guns that manufactures will easily design around. That means abortion vs title IX and I'm split

Same.
That’s a good point. If the choice is abortion rights versus Title IX and women’s safety, I am not sure where I fall.

Where's the confusion? It's absolute fact that abortion bans and related things will affect far more women and cause vastly more harm than transwomen ever will. Not sure how anyone could ever feel those are somehow equivalent or a close choice of any kind.

Because it's not about whether a trans woman will harm me. It's about the fact that women are losing their status and about the move down from second class citizens to third class - men stay at the top, transwomen move to #2 for special rights, and we're third. Plus I'm just sick and tired of the fact this is a one way street. I don't see transmen getting any special attention or preferences.

But... the abortion bans are lunacy and most likely to harm my DDs and do damage to the number of medical students willing to even go into OB GYN.

There are millions upon millions of women that are going to get out and vote for candidates that will fight for women's reproductive rights. It is that important.

A woman does not need to exercise it but a women must hold this right. These women will not be distracted or deterred from this mission by trans issues. That will not happen.

The right is desperately trying to use this issue to somehow convince pro choice voters to abandon their commitment to that fight but they are clueless. They need to concede that abortion rights are an inalienable right of women and develop some pro choice candidates.

Rights aren't pie.

Making sure everyone has rights does not take away yours unless of course you think you're right is to be superior and force your beliefs in people.

Yes. Pro choice. Pro choice does not impose an anti abortion view on others but respects anyone that chooses the view that abortion is not for them.

For title IX it literally is a pie. Women's athletics get the same number of slots as men's.
