It's like that R woman who needed an abortion due to medical reasons, had to go to borrow money to go to a different state to get an abortion, and now realizes, abortion access is necessary for all women.

No one ever thinks they need abortion access until they do.

Here is the problem. Too many entitled R women think that the abortion laws are only for the poor and minorities who have aren't responsible for their reproductive health. They are loose or uneducated women who are trying to game the system. They think that if the they need one, because they aren't "one of them", that they can call their state senator and get the help that they need.

This woman admitted that she's always identified as pro-life, but when her baby died in utero and she needed, one she was aghast that she couldn't bypass the law and get one in her home state. Hello. This is the very problem. It isn't always unwanted children or unplanned children that cause a mother to have to fact the difficult decision to abort. Sometimes a very wanted child by couples who planned their conception need to be aborted to save the mother' life. And these Handmaiden Laws are going to kill women. This woman very nearly died, but because of her privilege and wealth, she was able to find a clinic out of state and actually get there in time to get the abortion needed to save her body and her life.

This message needs to get out to Republican women who think that the laws won't apply to them if/when they or their daughters need this life-saving procedure. And if they continue to vote Republican, that these elected officials want to enact a national ban that would mean there will no longer be clinics anywhere in the US that the privileged will be able to travel to to get the procedure. So, it will no longer be only "those people" who are dying from pregnancies that threaten the mother's life. It will be women from all races and all walks of life.

Rs are so dumb to think that the abortion issue is about punishing the wh0res.

Any man who would be fine with a law forcing his wife/daughter/sister to have her rapist's baby is a sick f*er.

All we’ve heard on social media is that there have been various gag orders on doctors and nurses about sharing the dire stories. Why have none of the families come forward yet? Miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies aren’t exactly rare so you know, mathematically, that some women have already died because of the forced birth policies. If I were a surviving widower whose wife was killed by extremist forced birther policies, you can be damn sure I’d be spending the rest of my life letting the forced birthers know that they murdered my wife.

That Missouri woman came forward herself and now is being investigated by the state.

Come forward to whom? Leave these people alone. These bad pregnancy outcomes lead to grieving and healing. Not getting involved in some political shit show. Just stay out of people's reporductive business. It is not your concern.

AYFKM? Take it up with the forced birthers.

They become public data -- of course we have a right to know the outcome of public policies. Not the the GOP believes data, but the rest of us would like to know what the result is. How can people vote if they don't understand the greater effects of public policy? Though I did point out on the other forum for someone saying she was voting for the GOP because crime was her #1 issue that that was misguided because abortion was directly related to reduced violent crime.

We have seen this movie already. When abortion is outlawed is leads to dangerous, unsafe procedures. It does not often force women to bear unwanted pregnancies. That is not an informed idea. The motivation to get not pregnant when you don't want the pregnancy is very very strong

You can say how you think you'd handle it but unless you've been there, you don't know. Your post reeks of the same judgment that places blame on sexual assault survivors for not publicly accusing their abusers/rapists and "allowing" them to hurt more people. It's not the victim's fault. It's not their family's fault. They might need to grieve quietly and heal as best they can, not turn their personal tragedy into a circus that probably won't change the minds of the masses anyway. The information is out there if anyone wants to learn about the topic. We shouldn't need more personal tragedy stories to believe science.

Thank you. This is the right answer. If rebublicans want to attract women voters, they need to represent their views on important issues like abortion rights. Extreme anti abortion positions are not what the voters want.

Will rebublicans ever evolve on this issue and get these voters back?

Do women voters care about the approximately 10,000 more babies that are alive now because of restrictions passed by Republicans. About 20,000 fewer abortions in these states, and 10,000 more in states that did not pass restrictions, suggesting half went to another state to get an abortion. This is an analysis put out by a pro-choice group. Would be curious to see if the births data shows the same results, or if the women are merely substituting with abortion drugs.

Women voters care about abortion protections. By a large margin. Are you paying attention?

There is total respect for the choice made by individual women about their own bodies. Forcing a particular view on all women is not wanted at all by the large majority.

Holy stay in your lane. This whipper snapper needs to go back to his trust fund and stay out of decisions that don't concern him. How about you and your wife go through even a single pregnancy and birth before you start yammering on about what other people will or won't do. Clueless.

Yes lots of new women voters. Polls suggest now all breaking on traditional lines so no new wave for Democrats. May end up helping Republicans.

If you have such winning news, post a citation.

And you really think all these new female voters are signing up for the express purpose of voting for their own subjugation?
