Charters: When is yours dropping the outdoor mask mandate?

You're saying that each individual charter leader is going to conduct a study that will quell the fears of the anxious parents in two weeks? Because charter leaders are epidemiologists or public health experts?

This. This should really be decided at the state level for all schools, whether private, public, or charter. School administrators aren't public health officials or experts, and neither are parents.

This is such a cheap shot. Guess what: deciding to send your kid to a charter school does not mean you have no right yo criticize the administration of your charter just because your IB is an option. I am SO SICK of people shutting down people who ask questions, especially when admins make frankly stupid decisions. I am grateful to the people who challenge our charter leadership to do better.

LOL the people in my neighborhood (speaking of my two blocks) all have their kids go to charter or OOB. Like, the people that have been here for 30 years don't send their kids to the neighborhood school. Gasp! It's also true that we have charters IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, so some of my neighbors attend our same charter.

I wonder if there are parents that just believe that their charters will...uh....not lift the indoor mask mandates, particularly for 3-4 YOs. That's what parents in my charter are advocating for.

Parents at our charter do not seem to want PK3-4 to lift indoor mask mandates until a vaccine is available - which seems reasonable.
