What’s classy for rich people but trashy for poor people?

That 2 people could have the same thing (a job, a car, whatever) and if that person was rich, it was classy or indicative of wealth and worldliness, but if they were poor, it was trashy or indicative of lower class. (In the eyes of general society/ NOT in my own eyes! Just to clarify!)

Ones that come to mind for me:

Speaking a second language at home

Owning horses

Having 4 kids

Working at non-profit/charity work
Bad teeth!
Rambling big old house needing repair
Being disshelved
Bring eccentric -*this is a big one, it's okay to be a bit crazy when you're rich/old money
apparently but not if you're poor
Stay at home parent - if you are poor you are lazy but it you're rich it's perfectly acceptable

Doing non-profit or charity work is never trashy.

It is if it's because you were ordered to do community service.

No one calls community service “non-profit or charity” work.

Sleeping in a tent. If you are rich or even middle class you are camping/outdoorsy, if you are poor, you're homeless.

Not when they all attend private schools, summer camps, and ivies on a single income or no discernible form of income and are called Chip or Trip.

My WASP aunt loves to talk about how tacky it is to have more than two kids. We are not farmyard animals!

Do you think this is from pre-birth control days?

Poor people never get sentenced to community service. They get plea deals, unfortunately.
