What’s classy for rich people but trashy for poor people?

Anonymous
There was a thread about this phenomenon one time and it fascinated me. That 2 people could have the same thing (a job, a car, whatever) and if that person was rich, it was classy or indicative of wealth and worldliness, but if they were poor, it was trashy or indicative of lower class. (In the eyes of general society/ NOT in my own eyes! Just to clarify!)

Ones that come to mind for me:

Speaking a second language at home

Owning horses

Having 4 kids

Having old furniture

Driving old car

Eating cheese as a meal.

Not paying taxes.

Not working.

I agree- lots of pet / animal stuff. Like having 6 dogs- maybe Queen Elizabeth and it’s the height of class , or maybe it’s your drug addicted neighbor in the condemned house around the block. Both profiles fit.
