Please tell me what your favore sushi spot is in this area! I'd prefer to know about those with yummy special rolls.
Thanks! |

| Sushi Taro. Second best: Sushi Ko. |
I'm this PP, but just now read that you want "yummy rolls." Sushi Taro and Sushi Ko are very authentic--everythign is yummy, but they aren't big into rolls. They're too upscale for that. |
While your snobbery made me smile, I have to tell you that Sushi Ko most definitely has rolls (ura maki). Apparently you're slumming it more than you realize when you go there...lol! |

Rolls? Ichiban in Old Town.. They have like 75?

| Cafe Asia |
| Actually I thought those super fancy rolls were an Americanization of Japanese food. We always take Japanese clients to Tachibana in McLean when they want home-cooking. |

Murasaki. The Japanese embassy staff are frequent customers.
The dinner menu is awesome. |

sushi taro (more avant garde these days but still good)
tachibana ( authentic hands down) kotobuki (small, neighborhood feel) makoto (tres fancy, expensive sister restaurant of kotobuki) sakana (does the minimal job with good cuts) i used to be a murasaki fan based on proximity but have found questionable cuts the last few times. |
| I had a really awesome experience and meal at Makoto. It is pricey but worth it IMO. |
| Momo Sushi in Old Town |
| Purists are going to slay me, but I like Harris teeter |
