War with Iran

You think Trump wants to help the protesters in Iran? The protesters are liberals and leftists just like here in the US. Trump arrest student protesters here and executes other “leftists” on the streets. Trump and republicans want North Korea not democracy.

I mean, duh.

Wow, that's exactly what Netanyahu's cabinet told him wrt to the hostages in Gaza. Well, that's he'd be outed. Sickening! Playing with human lives for their own power. Truly beyond the pale.

I listened to a conversation between two former military guys at Goodwill this morning — one of whom did two tours in Afghanistan (don’t know about the other).

They were so pissed.

“I saw too many good guys die over there. Now we’re doing it again? Sending our troops to die in another country’s war? And our bridges are crumbling and people can’t get groceries?”

And the way they were saying it: pure disgust.

n=2, but the outrage was real

This is anecdotal, but my Jewish friends in my neighborhood in Chevy Chase that are overwhelmingly members of the Democratic Party are all very happy with the US bombing Iran. They keep invoking the Holocaust. Again, this is anecdotal, but I don’t think this desire to protect Israel more than the US is just an objective of the GOP. This is why Chuck Schumer has not done anything to stop it.

How many conversations about the war have you had with "all your Jewish friends in Chevy Chase?" since we started bombing on Saturday?
You've been calling them all up? It's been 3 days.

This. I think they are a troll.

It's so weird that you and pp don't understand that people gather over the weekend. Sports games, dinner parties, book groups, walks in neighborhoods, running into them at the local bookstore/diner/park, on top of all the text chains. If you don't interact with multiple people over the weekend, of course you wouldn't get it. This is a pretty big event, obvs, and people are talking about it and posting on SM.

“The Pentagon is spending $12 million to DESTROY a $50,000 drone.

And the people who build those missiles don't want you to know that.

Here's the math they're hiding.

Iran builds something called the Shahed drone.

It costs as little as $20,000.

Fits on the back of a pickup truck and can be hidden anywhere.

And it can take out an oil field, a desalination plant, or a military base.

Iran produces roughly 500 of these per day.

Somehow we have spent trillions of dollars on our military and yet....

(and blaming Biden/Ukraine is a fools game...we were SELLING them expiring armaments that had to be replaced anyhow)

A single Patriot interceptor costs $4 million. Iran has about 80,000 drones that cost about $30,000 each. The math isn't mathing favorably for the US. Drone warfare has changed everything. The fact that the US is running out of interceptors on Day 4 demonstrates once again that Trump/Rubio/Hegseth had zero plan for this war.

Wonder how many days until we’re out of interceptors. It seems like the large majority of Iranian drones and missiles have been taken down so far. What starts happening when almost all of them get through?

Iran is going to keep going after the gulf states. They are already running out of interceptors and the US is refusing to give them more. Those countries have significant pull with Trump and destroying their oil and gas infrastructure will cause worldwide economic damage.

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/us-stonewalling-requests-gulf-states-replenish-interceptors-sources-say

I don't think the US have any more to give. Most were provided to Israel and the others are currently in use. There have been reports to see who would run out first, US/Israel with interceptors or Iran with their drones and missiles.

I’m sure there are many in places like South Korea, Japan, Poland and CONUS to protect against other threats. But the US likely won’t move those to help out the gulf states.
The gulf states are being attacked, they need to consider defending themselves. They all offensive capabilities. Pick some targets, coordinate, and go get em.

And people wonder why there are those of us who believe in fighting the scourge that is indoctrination into religious beliefs of any kind but are mostly concerned right now with Christian Nationalism. Completely insane that people believe this crap let alone are acting on it from places of power in the US

We need to see evidence of this and not from some left wing writer or random social media poster. Real evidence.

Well, there’s this for starters.

WTF am I looking at?!?!!?!?!

Trump: "Spain has been terrible. I told Scott to cut off all dealings with Spain. They said we can't use their bases. We could use their bases if we want. We could just fly in and use it. Nobody is gonna tell us not to use it."

Uh oh, big tears incoming.

If you can just decide that God sent him, you never have to wrestle with his immorality or the destruction he’s causing. I think that’s what you’re looking at.

There is no plan to support any resistance. Israel wants Iran destabilized. Not to be taken over and prosper under a western-friendly government.

It is why so many police stations have been destroyed. And border guard outposts. And why Trump was coordinating with the Kurds.

They want Iran in chaos with no organized, unified government. A civil war where factions are fighting each other and militias and whoever else can enter the country at will and sow chaos.

Trump said himself that they had a few different leaders in mind to take over Iran. But they were all killed in strikes. If US wanted at least one of them to emerge as the leader, then why were they killed? Guarantee it was Israel that killed them.

The US may have had some concept of a plan, but as Rubio basically said himself yesterday, it is Israel in charge and calling the shots here.

Over the past ~24 hours, we have heard via witnesses that the number of U.S. personnel injured in Iranian attacks in Kuwait is much higher than has been acknowledged. CENTCOM has not responded to our requests for comment.

Anyone that has seen the satellite photos of the base in Kuwait would doubt the official numbers being put out.

Shame on America! Truly disgusting.

We've knocked off the Shahed and are now producing them here FYI.
