Good quality women's wallet?

Anyone have any suggestions for a good, basic leather wallet with coin purse that will last a long time? My current one is Coach, and I haven't been thrilled with the construction.

My Prada leather zip-around wallet has room for everything and looks like new in its 4th year - worth the $$$.

Fossil.
Wallets get a lot of abuse, I wouldn't spend a lot on one.

I've posted this before, but Louis Vuitton. Mine has gone 16 years and still looks brand new. I don't see myself replacing it anytime soon.

I bought it at 16 and probably wouldn't buy it again now- too much logo for me at 32, but I will say its turned out to be worth the cost. (Yes I spent ALL my summer job money on that damn wallet!)

I have a Rebecca Minkoff zip-around wallet (matte black leather). It's great and wasn't that pricey.

REMINDS ME OF THE ONE ABOUT THE MOHEL AND THE FORESKIN WALLETS--TOO MUCH RUBBING AND THEY WOULD SPRING OPEN OR SOMETHING...

I have a classic black leather prada bag I got maybe 8 years ago at Off Saks for a (relatively) good price. I take the bag with me everywhere and it still looks great - as does the wallet that my husband bought for me a few years back. I want to finally buy a new one this Christmas and have been looking online - thinking about the Saffiano. I just love these products for their quality and durability. You?

This is the exact reason I DO spend more on my wallet and bags. I wear these items every day and need durability/quality. You can spend $400-$500 on a wallet that will last you years, or $50-$100 on a mediocre wallet that you'll have to replace after one year of use.

$400 to 500 on a wallet. Please tell me you are joking.

Clearly we are in different income brackets. A $50-$100 wallet would be an expensive one to me. As it stands, I spend $20 on a wallet and probably get 3-4 years out of it. Even if I have to replace it 10 times I'm still ahead of your $500 wallet lasting 30 years.

Agree that Prada goods are beautifully made and wear well. I love my Prada bag, use it almost daily in winter and it looks great after 10 years. OTOH, my Lodis wallet purchased around the same time and used daily year-round is also in beautiful condition and it cost a lot less than a comparable Prada wallet.
