Take everything AB says with a lb of salt.

I can't decide if it is intentional slimy sales or overexcited puppy that wets the floor. (Telling people potential solutions before solidified, which when they don't pan out is a bad look, eroding credibility).

And my kid won't play for him. His "coaching style" is not for everyone. Fortunately, we had a different coach and a good experience overall.

I think someone else said the new coaches and directors might be good. Time will tell. CP seems to have his act together.

One would ask, why did Ascunce and Pruden leave Loudoun?

I don’t think you’ll like the answer.

They are fine. Loudoun spews hate at anyone that dares to leave their ranks whether staff or players. the staff and families are toxic AF there.

Uh huh. They just up and left Loudoun’s top teams to join the blood letting at FCV?

If you think the staff at Loudoun is toxic, you must think FCV is Chernobyl on zero day.

Adam, make sure our kids aren’t left at fields instead of responding back to posts on this silly website.

Amazes me that we continue this narrative of nuclear toxicity to continue the push to burn fossil fuels for energy.

The man at work.

AB is a hard worker. If he can manage to salvage this club I will be very impressed.
I thought this thread needed a positive post so here it is.

AB is legendary in NOVA. Known as a class A prick and abusive to his players, I wouldn't entrust my player to him or his minions. My son had him during his first year at Freedom HS and the whole team almost walked out. He's an extremist in every way.

Don't know him well, but it seems (according to this board) he is:

1) A prick
2) A moron
3) Almost universally hated by anyone who knows him
4) Abusive to players
5) Clueless on so many levels
6) Pathological liar
7) A hard worker
8) Fired

Has it been confirmed that he's fired or just message board gossip?

I've heard many people complain about GA coaching. It is covered up by a great roster now; I think he is still in the playoffs, but a different coach could achieve much more.

Its always nice when your kid enjoys the coach....

^ This is the bottom line. When kids love a coach, they will perform better than when they don't.

Pay trumps team for 99% of coaches so don't get it twisted. He got a significant pay bump I'm sure. Also, there are people who's rather develop from the ground up than sit at the top with academy kids and their crazy parents. You Loudoun parents are the worst and just proving my point. You're so bitter and nasty. I have no skin in this game just relaying what's currently happening with CP.

Why would anyone care if a coach leaves for another club? In my mind, everyone always follows the money if the number is right or for logistics reasons.

-If the club wants to retain to the best coaches, then pay them more. It's always going to be a competitive environment like anywhere else.

What I don't agree with are coaches leaving mid-season without fulfilling their commitment.

I don't agree with clubs firing coach in season and leaving the team in chaos. 2013G - One coach does practice and 4 others will be coaching at the tourney this weekend.

The club quit on the kids. Not the coach.

Agreed. FCV, Loudoun, and VRSC have all let coaches go mid year/season this year. Comes across petty and I don't take anything anyone says about the coach serious because it's normally disgruntled parents.
