I would prefer Faith over Leslie for a Golden Bachelorette.
I encouraged one of DH's best friends since childhood to apply; he's 66 and a personal trainer. Hope he has a good shot -- he's great looking and very nice. |
DP. You think Gerry is going to be walking into a bar and be generally admired as a sex object? |
| I feel bad for Theresa that she is being rushed into marriage for tv ratings. From what they said, they haven’t even spent much time together in person. I hope she has an iron clad prenup and estate plan in place and they don’t share finances so Gery doesn’t get any of her money. |
| For sure! |
|
Can’t stand the guy
I saw Gayle Kings clip interviewing him, he was performing, flirting with her, saying very cringeworthy things about how beautiful she is! So dirty old man and inappropriate. I am 72, I can say it. Theresa is not a player like he probably has been his whole life, regardless married long time. That means nothing, many women just stay, afraid to be alone and was not a glamour puss, appeared to be just a regular looking woman. Don’t feel good about him one drop. Sad for Theresa |

I know I might make some people angry what I’m going to say but restaurant people have a tendency and a reputation of being players. He wasn’t anything special. He owned a fast food joint, but he’s totally a player you could tell
lifelong bullshit he throws at everybody.. |
| I believe the lady who says she was his long term girlfriend. |
|
Absolutely!
Me too! |
|
Makes me angry at his age how insensitive he was to Faith, Leslie, their family members, he just didn’t care, still doesn’t.
He has gotten over on everybody. Pathetic Run Theresa! |
So, by your standards, the measure of a man is how much he spends on things that he could otherwise get gratis? Not a smart move for someone on a fixed income. But, I guess you don't believe in being retired and living within your means? |
They broke up THREE YEARS AGO. Get over it. |
|
It’s how he treated her! Maybe you don’t expect much out of a relationship, or you got the same raw deal.has nothing to do with being retired or living within your means.
It’s romance, and how a man is supposed to court a woman, not nickel and dime her to death.I’m retired,I live on a fixed income and I would never treat anybody that I wanted to be with especially ask her to move in with me and do that. Maybe that’s how you treat a partner who knows most people don’t like that pennyPinch ,nickel and dime someone. I hope she charged him for sex. |
|
No, you get over it
People have a right to their opinion! |
You have only heard one side of the story. You don't know what happened. I imagine you have never had a relationship break up and each person had their version of what happened --- each of which had a portion of the truth and a portion of that person's perception of slights. There are two people who seem to be happy to have found each other -- be happy for them. |
+1. I like Leslie, but the thought of watching her make more horrible romantic choices and end up in another train wreck relationship is too depressing. The Bachelor format, where a (presumably, we don't know about Gerry) mature guy makes the choice for her might be better for her. I want Leslie for Dancing with the Stars. My friends feel the same way. I don't know about Faith, though, if all the bachelors know she's not willing to move away from her dead horse. Of course, the dead horse thing could have been a sort of "it's me, not you" where she didn't want to get into him sending creepy vibes or something on national tv. |
