Exactly. I’m gonna go on a HS lacrosse message board even though I don’t care about HS lacrosse. Idiots |
What’s Drivel? St. John’s has had several top 100 players that last few years. That’s only drivel to someone that isn’t paying attention. |
Shocking, not shocking that SJC booster doesn't have good reading comprehension. No one said anything about SJC not having several good players in the past few years. The comment was in response to the statement that SJC is #1 and the best school for players looking to be recruited. Facts: # of college commits from 2018-2024 SJC 29 Bullis 30 Landon 40 Gonzaga 47 GPrep 51 |
Might want to add PVI to this list as it would higher than SJC and even Saint Stephens. No DeMatha either? Why only cap it to the past 5 years, go back to 2013 (this is when PVI, Bullis, and Gonzaga programs really began to take off and it wasn’t only Landon or GP dominating the DC lacrosse landscape) |
Go ahead. Lay it out. |
10 years ago?? Why bother, that was a lifetime ago. 2018-2024 is most up to date and current. |
| Is this based on insidelacrosse info? PVI probably has close to 50 from 2018-to now. |
Actually, PVI from 2018-2024 has 39. |
| DeMatha 2018-2024 has 32. |
| Wow, STJ bringing up the rear again in the most important stat! |
| In 2013-2019 kids made verbal commitments in 8th and 9th grade. 2022 and 2023 classes lost a year sophomore year for 2022 and freshman year for 2023. The next season was a short season. The point is that HS has very little to do with recruiting. The good clubs also have public school kids who commit. |
No one is talking about 2013-2017, only 2018-2024. So the most recent five years of only high school recruiting are included in these numbers. The only truly affected high school season was 2020. The remaining years still had seasons, just condensed and there were so many social media highlights and live streams that coaches could easily watch from their homes/offices. I know kids who committed right after the 2021 high school season ended. High School is one piece of the puzzle, but it definitely matters for academic and athletic strength. It gives coaches some context and shows the full picture of the student-athlete. Coaches want kids who will do well academically in college and not drop out or struggle. They need kids who can handle the full-time commitment of college academics and athletics. And yes, do public school kids commit to play in college, yes, but the numbers are 100% greater for private school kids. |

Who are these schools?? JK: Go away MIAA this is not a Ballmore or Acrapollis lacrosse thread. I know you whish you are part of the DMV but you are not. MIAA could have 1000 recruits each team each year I don't care. |
How many couldn’t play their sr year due to being too old? 🤔 |
