The highways are always clear sailing, inorite? And paying Metro workers less would surely increase their quality.

Oh stop it. What metro system is non-union?

Spend a month in Boston relying on the T, and come back and report. The metro is not without it's problems, it's a zillion times better than much of the US alternatives.

Nyc is much better , I would rather have a metro that its cheaper, dirty, standing room only but day and on time. Its main goal should be being on time and low cost, everything after that is useless fluff. There is a lot of waste like the door to door handicap limos that far exceed three ada minimums.

That's right, those handicaps need to just be sitting at home and watching TV! Screw them trying to be useful!

I have said a thousand times. They should sell concessions INSIDE metro, take the profits, and screw the nice clean floors. If I could nurse my starbucks coffee on the metro in the morning, I'd care much less about how late I was.....

If I had to average it out, I'd say I deal with train delays once or twice a month. It's cheaper than parking downtown ($14/day) and the time estimates are spot on for me. Perhaps we're living in alternate universes.

Hey no one is stopping you from driving!

You guys should travel a bit and learn from other countries.

You would not be mad... you'd be embarrassed!

This has not been my experience. But I live in the city. Perhaps the blue/orange lines are the problem?

The subway system in Seoul is amazing, if anyone here's traveled on it. Clean, even though you can buy food on the platforms, on time, people save the seats for the disabled, etc.

A lot of this is cultural. Koreans are a more respectful people than Americans. & no, I'm not Korean but I have had the privilege of working with and befriending many.

Take your gripe to congress. It is federally mandated in order to receive federal funds. Metro has complained repeatedly about the cost. The cost is exhorbitant and greatly bites into Metro's budget. But hey, if you leave in MD or VA why don't you right your congressman/woman or senator and make your complaint heard. DC residents don't have this opportunity or right.
