Lately it seems like even healthy, whole grain carbs make me feel so tired after a meal. Is this normal? I don't know if it's a new thing or if I've just never made the correlation before.
Two days ago I had a big but healthy salad for lunch along with a piece of whole wheat pita bread. I was exhausted afterward. Today I ate the same salad with just a couple of crackers, no bread, and felt fine. I know it's common to feel sleepy after a meal, maybe I am just becoming more aware of my body and reading too much into it. |

Are you getting enough sleep? Did the salad have protein in it or was the pita pretty much the only calorie source?
Do you have any other symptoms of blood sugar problems like frequent urination at night or dizziness in the morning? I'm guessing that if you are stressing about a pita with your salad that you are just reading too much into it, but I don't know how sleepy you felt and how regularly you are feeling this way. |
