I first heard about this story the night before Thanksgiving and have been following it since then... three adults and three kids on board. Dad had picked up his three kids from ex-wife to fly them to his home for Thanksgiving when the plane crashed in the mountains outside of Phoenix. I keep thinking about their poor mom who lost all three of her kids at once. I can't even imagine losing one, let alone all of them in such an accident. What on earth would you do with yourself if suddenly ALL your kids were gone and you no longer had anyone to mother? I just can't stop thinking about her.

It's so sad - I also thought of the poor mom and what she is going through.

Unimaginable. How do you process such a thing? Poor woman.

I don't think I could let my kids get on a private plane without me.

I would kill myself. Too much pain to bear.

Really sad to read this. This would be tragic any time of year, but during the holidays? An absolute travesty.

I'm a Christian, so I won't commit suicide. However in this instance, the temptation to do so would probably outweigh all my previously held beliefs. I don't think I could ever recover from losing all of my children like this. f I lost one, I could reason that I have to live on for the rest of them. But to lose all? No, the pain would be unbearable.

To 20:43 her ex husband was a pilot and so is she... As a paranoid flyer I am inclined to agree with you but I'm sure she thought they were in the safest possible hands and nothing would happen to them. It's so awful.

How did you reach this conclusion? What an illogical response.

witnesses said the planes engine was cranked up beofre impact, another plane in the area saw it circling and it was headed straight for the mountain withouth any attempt to get out of the way. Did you read the story about it?

I did, but I think there could be a number of explanations for the crash. Even with the eye witness accounts, suicide and murder did not cross my mind. Why would he take his friends down too? I didn't read about irrational behavior on his part before the crash. Just a divorced dad of three traveling for Thanksgiving.

One of my first thoughts was---I wonder if it was truly an accident. Hey, remember Lululemon???

somebody post a link to the story? Sad, very sad, though mom and dad were/are?? both pilots so know the risks.

11:35 again. The most recent article doesn't even place the dad as the pilot. I think it is just a tragic accident.

Hardy, a highly experienced pilot, is believed to have been flying the plane when the crash occurred while Perry sat in the back with his children.

Pilot News says the air space by those mountains was reduced from 8 thousand feet to 5 thousand feet in 2007.
