NL may have come out on top for the 2020, but their 2022 looked terrible. The black team was nearly beat by a rec team. |

Actually there were a lot of coaches at that game, but really that wasn't the point. These boys wanted to win. Some of them go to school together; some kids have switched clubs; they mostly know each other. It felt like championship game where every possession mattered. in the end, uniforms were mud covered. It was great team ball. Honestly, it's the way it should be, but rarely is in the age of early recruiting etc. |
That's a 6th grade team with 11 year olds you are referring to. Who cares how strong a 2022 team is now? This is the whole point: kids that young who get good instruction and practice up good habits will become better players. The worst 4th grade or 6th grade team today can easily be the best 9th grade team in a few years. Sizing up kids that young and making conclusions about how good a club is because of that is dumb. Most 4th graders who are 9 are just getting started and trying lacrosse and other sports. I'd hope that most 6th graders are playing sports other than lacrosse and just having fun. BTW, I saw the VLC and BW 2018s game and compared to only 3-4 years ago these soph teams are terrible. The VLC 2015s were excellent, the BW 2015s were good, the Madlax 2015s were pretty good. It is amazing to me how many more kids are playing now and how much worse these elite local club teams are with each grade going down. |
I can't stop laughing after reading your post. 1. Blackwolf 2018 was not a team "four years ago". They started as a rising freshman team. They have great talent, but VLC 2018 played better. Both are very good teams. 2. I saw VLC 2018 when they were in MS and they were terrible. They are much improved and it's a joke to say they are worse now than they were 4 years ago. 3. BW 2015 was an EXCELLENT team, not "good". Are you kidding me? 4. Madlax 2015 was a pretty bad team. Both Blackwolf and VLC 2015 teams would beat that Madlax team by at least 7 goals. |
But my penis is bigger than yours!! |
Everything is lost on you there. These soph teams are way worse than the 2015s were when they were sophs. The comparison is how strong 10th grade teams were 4 years ago versus 10th grade teams today. BW doesn't do youth teams and puts together whomever they invited over from other clubs. I doubt VLCs 2018 team has very many kids who played at VLC as U-13 players. The Madlax 2015 team was way behind the VLC 2015s. That VLC team was the best local HS group the DMV has had in some years. They seemed to be the rare group that stayed together and got better together, two things that are completely lost at the 3 big local clubs now. |
Blackwolf is known for poaching kids from other programs. Trigg doesn't develop players. |
And that's saying a lot, cause I know this poster is a chick. A crazy lax mom, but a chick nonetheless. |
Well then my breast implants are bigger! |
Of course, they didn't do youth teams. |
Wholly inaccurate. Trig will work extra with players that need that help. I saw it work for my son. |
There was a mass exit from bethesda 2020 team to Nl 2020 black. The teams basically combined, even next levels 2020 b team beat Bethesda 2020 |
i dont care which players came from which program beforehand. the NL 2020 black team is very strong and very well coached. |
Why the exodus? |
Doesn't matter. NL has never been able to field HS teams. Their 2019 team is pretty bad so far. |
