| I was driving along the other day, and I just thought to myself, "I really need to find a church and go to it" the moment I looked up I saw a church sign that said "service at 10:00". I looked at the clock in my car and it said 10:00. I didn't go to that church, but I wonder.. |
| I've had many "unexplainable" things happen. They used to frighten me. Now I embrace them. When you ASK, you will eventually get answers. Pretty cool story, OP. You'll start to pay attention much more now!! |

I was at the end of my rope, and I went to an outdoor chapel on campus and knelt down and said a kind of skeptic's prayer: "God, I don't know if you are there. I've spent most of my adult life hating you. But I'm falling apart, and if you are there, and you can help me, please let me know.". Suddenly, I felt an indescribable, overwhelming wave of love, forgiveness, and peace wash over me, and the candles all seemed to burn with a light that is not of this world--warm, but with all the colors of the rainbow and pure white brilliance at the same time. I would give anything to have that feeling for one moment again.
My husband, also a lifelong skeptic, was with me, but he did not kneel down, and when I walked over to him, I asked him if he had seen or felt anything unusual. He said no. Several years later, right before he was baptized, he admitted to a very similar experience. He'd been too surprised and embarrassed to admit it then. I had not told him my experience. |

The other day, I was thinking "Man, I could go for some fried chicken." Which is really weird, since I hardly ever eat it, or even get a craving. No more than an hour later my sweetie brought home a family pack from Popeyes.
Eerie, no? |
| OMG, I am laughing so hard at the fried chicken post. Not sure if you were trying to be funny, but I found that hilarious after the spiritual posts. |

Stuff like this happens to me all the time. I have a friend who I won't talk to for stretches at a time. All of the sudden I will get a very vivid mental picture of him, or think of him for no reason and within an hour or two I get a phone call or email. Or sometimes I will email him and he sends a message back immediately, "I just sat down to email you".
I have another friend who I have that happen with as well. I actually used to live in an apartment behind a cemetery and crazy stuff happened all the time. We were sitting on the floor having a pretty deep conversation and her phone rang. She answered it, but no one was there. She read the number aloud and I was like, "um, that's my phone number". I went to look at my phone and it was turned off. My cousin and I do this too. We will be thinking the exact same thing at the same time. It's generally pretty random, stupid shit too. We have had this for many years. We used to love to play Pictionary and be on the same team b/c generally we would win....I swear it's almost like we can read each others minds. We just can't control it. We are total opposites too. DH and I have had the same dream before (on the same night), but we were each playing our own part in the dream. I used to burn out light bulbs. I am sure there is a logical explanation for it...but I will add it anyway. I used to have anger issues. One night I was livid. I went home and tried to turn the lights on in my house, but every lamp I touched (I tried 3) the bulb blew out. That kind of startled me, but I figured maybe it has something to do with the outlets. My roommate came home shortly after and had no problem with the lights. We changed the bulbs and it didn't happen again. There are a bunch of other crazy experiences...but those are the ones that come to mind at the moment. |

Once, I lost my keys -- for DAYS.
Then one day, I walked into my apartment and they were lying on the floor in the absolute center of the room, right in traffic. No WAY I would have missed them. |

I had a dream about 9/11 before it happened. I never have nightmares and never wake up my husband for a bad dream. But I did for this one. I remember saying, "It's so weird I would dream about being in a plane crash in NYC; but why the hell would I also dream about being terrorized by some kind of .... demons on the plane?"
About 24 hours after 9/11 I remembered my dream and it was such a horrifying feeling.... |
I'm poster 16:52 and I had something similar happen. I had a dream that I was running into burning buildings trying to save people. I woke up, turned on the news and 30 seconds after I turned it on, I watched the 2nd plane hit. |
| my brother died on 2/28 (i am making up a date for anonymity but you get the gist). i always find myself looking at clocks right when they say 2:28. |

I never talk to my brother on the phone alot. We tend to just pass messages back and forth through my mom. Years ago, I was at work and just got this urge to call him. I let the phone ring for a long time, hung up, and went back to work. 5 minutes later he called me to tell me he'd fallen asleep while making a hot dog and it had burned down to the point that the house was full of smoke.
I made him go sit outside till his head was clear and some of the smoke had emptied out of the house, then I had him go in and open all of the windows and turn all the ceiling fans on. I know I saved his life. He might have died if the phone ringing hadn't woken him up. For sure he'd be dead if my father had come home and found the house smelling like smoke. |
16:52 that's interesting - when I read your post I was thinking about how a lot of that stuff happens to me! Except the lightbulbs

9/11 dreamer again. One other weird dream to report.
After 9/11 but before we started the war, I dreamed I was walking down a street in an undeveloped country. It was a dirty, partly cobbled road through shacks and shanties. I saw a woman sitting on the side of the road. She was a black woman, if I had to say what she looked like she was my vision of a Somali woman (no idea why). I knelt in front of her and touched her face. She turned her face away and wouldn't look at me. I was begging her not to let there be a war - that a war is what Evil wanted. She was implacable and wouldn't listen. And then came the war
It's the only other dream I've ever had that had the same feeling as the 9/11 dream. That it was more than a typical, forgettable dream. It was more like a warning. |
I still feel like the lightbulbs have a logical explanation. It was an old apartment building, so who knows. Though, some of the other crazy stuff that happened in that apartment....no logical explanation! I think that some people are just more "in tune" or open to this kind of stuff. I believe a lot of it is instinctual and we ALL have the capability to tap into it. I think because we are so reliant on things outside of ourselves, we are losing that instinct. For me, I started noticing it more when I started going to therapy to work on myself. I was more in tune with my body and mind. There are always going to be skeptics, but I have seen a lot of skeptics open themselves up more as well. |
| Right before the recent VA/DC earthquake I dreamt the Washington monument was leaning over. I have heard knocking on the wall when no one was there- it was a house, my roommates heard it too. Most recently the number 3:14 or 3.14 keeps appearing. Anyone have any ideas what that is about? |
