Lots of politicians, judges, doctors lawyers, CEO’s of major corporations like Underarmour, etc |
Some do, sure. The ones who go to a fake online school for 90-120 minutes a day generally do not. |
No WCAC kids do that. |
I am the OP. Also, I didn't report them, but I know some who did. That said, there are kids on that team on their second senior year. You want to call it reclassing, fine. I call it cheating. Reclassing before HS I am fine with, but once you are in, it's shady. And what reputable VA schools have kids on their HS (not post grad) rosters who played more than four years of HS sports outside of those who were granted waivers to play varsity in 8th grade? |
Yes, because they receive a good education at their WCAC schools. Do try and keep up. |
I mean, in hockey it's standard practice for all kids to do a 5th year of high school, most at elite New England boarding schools like Andover, Deerfield, etc. I am talking like 90% of all college hockey players have gone this route. I don't know how or why it became the standard for hockey, but it is. |
Benedictine, Woodberry Forest, Blue Ridge, Highland, Bethel, Evergreen Christian, etc. all these schools allow kids to reclass after the 9th grade. The IAC allows this too. This would give a kid more than 4 years playing their sport. Whether a kid does it before, during, or after high school is just a formality. The kid is still older and more mature in the end. The only way to even the playing field is to close the age gap and to prevent kids from playing against kids more than 5 years apart. The purposely reclassification causes the above problem in sports. Maybe each state could ban the kids who are too old because of a redshirt/reclassification and create some separate league for the old kids from a particular region. The league could even be nation wide. But it’s really not fair for kids who focus on academics, but also like to sports to have to play against older kids that also have trained most of their days for years and reclassify twice and I’ve even heard 3 times just to get an advantage in sports. It’s all cheating. |
Yes, they are taught how to use cheating as an advantage. |
Your parents failed you simply by not aborting you. I genuinely am sorry. |
It’s highly unlikely that the St. James participates in VHSL. Thus, not restricted on player eligibility, practice dates, recruiting, etc. |
Ignore that person. They are ignorant and obviously have something against St James. They support teams that allow reclassification, but not St James, and they are dishing out insults to anyone that disagrees with their way of thinking. Then they are admitting to snitching on St James or being clicked in with people snitching and trying to ruin the St James football program. That poster is a loser and they claim to be the OP. |
I am sorry the truth hurts so much. And who uses words like "loser" after high school? Pretty pathetic... All my previous comments stand. |
The poorly educated calling others ignorant is so cute. |
| Saint James is playing in a basketball league that won’t allow any kid that already graduated. Someone may have seen a kid playing some type of preseason prep game but they won’t be playing in the league ran by Nike Scholastic. |
At least you stopped Overton from winning Virginia state championships. Now he will gape to win the private school championships and will also be going after the national championships. |
