omg, I had the same thought about Chen Ling. He's adopting all the APE talking points with the same unwillingness to listen to other viewpoints and understand nuance. HARD pass. I still don't know who to vote for other than Kathleen Clark though. |
| The only two candidates IMO are Kathleen and Zuraya. I don't know anything about Z but she's savvy enough to be wracking in all of the endorsements. Hopefully we will learn more about her in the upcoming candidate forums. And hopefully she's not APE. |
I did get that same vibe based on his tone and comments. |
🙌🏽 It’s pretty obvious. His website spouts APE talking points. Will be interesting to see who donates to him too. |
CDT wracked up all the endorsements too, and that didn't turn out too well. I think if this whole process has shown us anything it's that we should take endorsements with a grain of salt. |
Maybe, but the other two candidates are not people I would vote for anyway. |
Yes, I do know that. So, again, just how often has your child/ren had to rely solely on their cell phone to do all of their schoolwork and for how long? |
Oh, goodie. Another person who has enough ACDC connections or inroads to get the endorsements.
|
Of course I do. But APS obviously isn't the one who's going to break the cycle; so I suggested an equally unlikely alternative. Still haven't answered my question..... So, just how often have your kids been forced to school-by-personal-cell-phone?? |
Look. You might not like it, but that's how a political campaign is run. Even a nonpartisan one. People pay attention to these things. I'd like to get ArlDems out of the game too, but until then, good for Zuraya by getting to know the people who actually run the place. |

This is direct from Chen Ling's website:"The diversity of backgrounds has the potential to enrich the experience for all children. It also creates risks that children will fall behind or face safety risks due to bullying or juvenile behavior."
Is he really saying what I think he's saying? Diversity of backgrounds creates safety risks in his world! |
+1 Can’t vote for Zuraya. She’s got the endorsements but sounds clueless. |
Another +1. If she had spent the last two years getting truly engaged in APS instead of being groomed as the next Spanish-speaking candidate with zero qualifications she might be worth something. Kathleen has my true heartfelt vote. I’m voting for Larry more because Chen and Zuraya are awful candidates. |
As an Asian, there is a lot of antiblackness in our community. Not surprised that Chen says it out loud. He may be the candidate for the small vocal AEM crowd, but going to his website is eye opening, so thanks for the prodding. I can’t vote for him. |
She serves on an APS advisory committee. Larry sounds kinda APE-y too. |
