If it were me, I'd go with something like Sam Adams. I'd go for a medium color. There are some good Octoberfest beers.

Yuengling

Blue Moon

Magic Hat (fall brew)

Red Stripe

DC Brau

Like PP said, look for Octoberfest or "fall" beers

Yes I like beer.

Pizza and beer! I recommend Blue Moon. You slice up oranges to put in it like lime with Corona. It is a great, smooth beer that almost everyone likes.

Peroni
Stella Artois
Pilsner Irquell

I know several beer drinkers who don't like Blue Moon.

I like root beer with pizza myself.

This is a) expensive and b) a beer for hopheads, not what you get for the average person coming over. If you get Dogfish I'd get the shelter pale ale, or maybe the 60 min.

Sierra Nevada has a nice fall beer too-- Tumbler I think.

Don't get Blue Moon. It's fussy girl beer.

You want a nice middle of the road Pale Ale or Lager.

Yuengling is a good choice.

Oh dear. It's a shame that you all need to drink beer with pizza. You must be an alcoholic. Your poor children.

/sarcasm
/Did that trick-or-treating thread die yet?

Yuengling very yeasty, don't waste your money.

I have to agree with PP that it is horribly irresponsible to consider having a beer with your pizza after you have children. I hope they have been quaranteed in a secure location while you "score" your "hit" of "fix", or whatever you alcies call it nowadays.

Sam Adams is a good normal beer, not crappy and not fancy. Most people would be happy with Sam Adams and pizza I think. I love Dogfishhead, but don't think everyone does. I know lots of people who "like" beer, but usually only drink "domestic" (boring) beer, but that kind of person would be fine with Sam Adams.
