That event last week is not part of any HS conference or sanctioned games and would not be counted toward any teams 2023 record. The season is finished and the rankings are the rankings

are you really claiming the games last week didn't count? I get some teams might have some injuries this late in the year but seriously who doesn't the final few days of the season?

so Gonzaga boosters now decide which games will count and which games won't count toward their total W-L record. This has to be a first on this forum. The 2023's played last weekend, this wasn't some summer ball club tournament with a running clock.

The Eagles were bad the final month of the season or maybe the players just quit on the coaches or the team just hit a wall. It becoming a common theme down on eye street.

The season ended with your conference or state tournament and playoffs. SJC won the WCAC, GP won the IAC, PVI won the VISAA. That is all. Nothing else counts toward a teams record in national rankings like US lax or IL. Any games played after the end of the WCAC or IAC season are not and should not be counted toward a team's W/L record. If Gonzaga or Bullis won this weekend's showcase could they claim they are the national champions of HS lacrosse? That would be even more ridiculous.

Season ended after Championships? But I thought St. John’s should play Prep after? Hmmm

Why does Prep need to play SJC?

Based on every poll I have seen this year, Prep is ranked higher than SJC.

And they probably are

Does anyone know the date the last time Prep beat SJC?

This is sound logic. The Celtics are seeded higher than the Heat therefore they will win the series.

They don’t need to play. They should stick to their refusal to play during the season.

2019 was the last win for Prep. They did the right thing not to play this year. Why take another L?

Listed below are some comparative scores of common opponents by GP and SJC. While I am not a huge advocate of comparing game results, it's really the only data point we have from this Spring.

Prep 14
DeMatha 5

SJC 7
DeMatha 4

SJC 11
Gonzaga 10

Prep 11
Gonzaga 9

Prep 18
Bullis 2

SJC 10
Bullis 9

Prep 14
Bullis 5

Based on the common results above, you are clearly a SJC homer if you really think the Cadets would beat down the Hoyas this Spring. and just to clarify, I have zero affiliation with the Lil Hoyas program.

Like opponents have no bearing on what would happen in the hypothetical game. Hypothetically you could say in two critical areas of the game St. John’s would hold a clear advantage. One at the X which would translate into controlling possession and goalie play which would translate into less scoring for Prep.

Score in hypothetical game based on comparison of game against Gonzaga.
SJC 11 Prep 9.

Will there be a Prep vs SJC game in 24?

Doubtful.

Prep didn’t want to play this year with the hypothetical stronger team. Won’t play next year with weaker team.

SJC you barely beat Bullis this spring, a team STA beat by 4.

Prep destroyed Bullis twice this season.

Prep would have been the favorite this spring had they played.

Let’s hope they play next spring.

Both teams won’t be nearly as strong as they were this Spring

Could we just all agree to kick SJC and Prep fanboys off the island?

What other teams would you talk about? The rest sucked

Yes, please! And let's reserve the right to vote the Gonzaga and St. Alban's fanboys off once the preseason prognostications start.
