It's also ridiculous to think you have to be a professional MLS club academy pundit and analyst to follow kids soccer. Just stop. |
Quite a bit and one thousand percent more than you... |
Nice try. No one said DCU is the worst academy in America. Just that it is not a good one. Other academies are demonstrably better and proven to be better. DCU is just not a quality organization all around. Academy is no different. Once you accept that, you might be able to salvage something out of it for what it is. |
Hey man...it's obvious you are pretending to be multiple people on here and talking to yourself. You don't like DCU...that's cool. My kid is MLS Next, but non-academy. If DCU comes calling, then we will go there cause it's in the area. I think a lot of people would say the same. And your opinions have no impact on that. Why don't you just take a break and go do something else? You are being pretty ridiculous. |

Do you. |
No one's pretending...just stating facts. Don't care if you listen or not. Your loss. |
Someone should have helped you K-12 to understand that by contantly repeating or shouting your opinion or calling them facts doesn't actually make them so and you're right, no one cares to listen because you and your crusade is irrelevant to their decisions |

DC United Academy Is Failing the DMV’s Talent
It’s time to have a serious conversation about the state of the DC United Academy—and more specifically, the people leading it. The results this past weekend were embarrassing: not a single goal scored for u16 (3 games) and 1 goal for u18 (3 games), disjointed performances across the board, and a clear lack of preparation and structure. This isn’t an anomaly. It’s a pattern. Let’s call it what it is: the academy is in crisis. The head of scouting, Trevor, is simply out of his depth. He’s arguably one of the least qualified individuals to be overseeing the identification and recruitment of talent in one of the richest soccer regions in the country. Under his watch, DCU has lost the trust of many of the top prospects and their families. Players are actively avoiding the program. That should tell you everything. Trevor has not only failed in his role but has resorted to fabricating stories about why top players are leaving the academy—spinning false narratives to cover up the fact that families are walking away because of his lack of vision. Instead of owning the chaos he’s caused, he’s pointing fingers and misleading leadership to save himself. This isn’t just a leadership issue—it’s a cultural one. The previous Academy Director was a disaster, and somehow, things have managed to get even worse. The entire infrastructure needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. From scouting to coaching to player development, there’s no coherent identity, no elite standard, and certainly no vision that aligns with what this region deserves. The DMV is one of the most talent-rich regions in the country. Yet it’s being drained by incompetence. The local ecosystem is already overrun with pay-to-play politics and clubs that don’t prioritize development. DC United had the platform to be the beacon of excellence. Instead, they’ve become just like the rest—deplorable. It’s time for a clean sweep. The players, the families, and this region deserve better. |
Send a letter to them if you care that much. Nothing we can do about it here |
Hyperbole: noun a way of speaking or writing that makes something sound better, more exciting, more dangerous, etc. than it really is synonym exaggeration |
Definitely Zero Exaggeration here. This post must have struct a nerve lol bc its very accurate. We all know its true but there nothing you can do. |
“Send them a letter.” LOL Nice response loser! |
Well, if you say Definitely Zero Exaggeration, that means there is no exaggeration in the opinion piece. Can you say There Will Be No Higher Prices from tariffs to make that a fact too? 🤣 |
You're stalking people's kids and obsessed with young youth teams where you have no connection and calling others losers? |
Except for you who keeps talking... |
