WSJ: “The Heritage Foundation official who leads Project 2025, the conservative roadmap for the next Republican administration, is stepping down after former President Donald Trump and his aides publicly criticized the group and Democrats decried its proposals as radical and dangerous.”

Nice try, MAGA.
Do Trump and his minions really think no one sees right through this “stepping down”? As if that negates the whole project.

+1 and as Republicans across the country introduce legislation that does exactly what Project 2025 wants to do nationwide…

You mean their *actual* agenda? It's funny that not one of you will acknowledge this - and the fact that is is NOT Project 2025. But that's ok. We're all used to your gaslighting.

This is not making whatever point you think it is. The obvious move is to loudly and clearly distance himself from a project that he was not involved with and has no interest in pursuing. But sure, continue with your wacky LWNJ conspiracy theories while the rest of us just roll our eyes at you.

It is completely making the point we all know it's making. Trump lies. He's done nothing but lie for the past eight years. We all know he's directly tied into this.

According to what I heard, he’s saying he understands why Trump is publicly disavowing Project 2025 (it’s a political and tactical decision) but that he’s fine with Trump’s doing that because Trump is behind the scenes ok with Project 2025 and as the standard bearer will do what it takes to enact Project 2025. But that for now it has to be kept on the down low so Trump and other down ballot Rs have a chance at getting elected.

Precisely. Every one understands this.

The mystery is why republicans are pretending they don’t support project 2025. Another poster observed that elements of it are already being implemented in gop states which is absolutely true. The gaslighting is just not going to gain traction any more.

Exactly. This is not fooling anyone.

Project 2025 is the Trump road map for a second term, and no amount of denying it will help.

Only willfully blind and/or stupid people don't see that the GOP is pushing project 2025 policies in their states and want to at the national level.

It’s just like Youngkin secretly admitting that he’d “go on the offense” to take away women’s right AFTER the election but couldn’t talk about during the campaign because he needed the Independent voters.

Project 2025 is being advanced by a blue chip conservative think tank. Disavowing or distancing himself from it, just makes him seem more disingenuous. Of course that’s the plan. If they were going to do something else, Heritage would have published that instead. It’s laughable if any of you cult members don’t like P2025 but are with Trump because you believe this isn’t his agenda. More than likely you also know it’s his agenda but cherish the opportunity to join the club in gaslighting.

LWNJ?

Maybe read the thread. There are plenty of connections between the Trump Administration, the Trump Campaign and even JD Vance and Project 2025.

To ignore these connections is, well, ignorant.
