This is not making whatever point you think it is.  The obvious move is to loudly and clearly distance himself from a project that he was not involved with and has no interest in pursuing. According to what I heard, he’s saying he understands why Trump is publicly disavowing Project 2025 (it’s a political and tactical decision) but that he’s fine with Trump’s doing that because Trump is behind the scenes ok with Project 2025 and as the standard bearer will do what it takes to enact Project 2025. But that for now it has to be kept on the down low so Trump and other down ballot Rs have a chance at getting elected.[/quote]
