Because Trayon White only wins in Ward 8 with a plurality of votes. He has zero city wide presence. There is simply no reason for him to get into this race other than to try to confuse voters.

Can someone please reassure me that the anti-semitic, anti-vaxxer candidate has no chance of becoming DC's next mayor? It is already embarrassing and bad enough that he already sits on my city's council. But I shudder to think of him at the helm of one of the nation's biggest cities.

(Also it is like a sick joke from the universe that the crazies on both sides share so many attributes...)

Yeah I don't think he has a chance. The question is whether he could be a spoiler candidate, and for whom.

I think Trayon White's candidacy is a litmus test for decency for every voter. If you can stomach this guy then you are against rational thought and perfectly happy to scapegoat to pit minority groups against one another. He *should* be unpalatable to people who have basic standards for sense and sensitivity.

He has no chance, but he could divert votes from Robert White to benefit the incumbent mayor. Begs the question of what she promised him?

At this point, it is a full time job. There is only one CM who still carries outside employment and that is as a part time teacher.
