We did read what you wrote and we think you are off the deep end. If you are going to shout at us about this stuff, Miss Oh-So-Fond-of-All-Caps, what do you expect?

Troll.

Classic. We couldn't possibly just disagree with her. We must be "naysayers" and insecure. You know it has gotten really lame when someone resorts to the insecurity thing to dismiss someone who disagrees with them.

Confident, self assured woman, my ass. Sore loser is more likely.

Definitely a troll.

Yes, the fanatical natural birth mom is truly a troll.

I'm not pompous; I merely feel strongly about the subject. I'm sure you have things you feel strongly about, too.

Reread your own post.

I could do this and I could do that and mothers who get epidurals are closing themselves off from blah, blah, blah.

Pompous.

You have no idea why other women have made choices to follow a different path from yours, but you are ready to tell them they made the wrong decision and that you are superior to them.

Pompous.

that's where you are wrong. I bite my tongue. Am I pompous for thinking that? I'm sure you think so, but your definition of pompous is not mine.

You sure didn't bite your tongue on this thread, and, because that is the behavior that I am referring to, your response makes no sense.
Clearly you have a different definition. I imagine you don't think your doody smells either, but it does, sweetheart.

I haven't been back to this thread since last night. I am 1337. The last time I posted, I discussed how long my labor took. I think you have me mistaken for one of the other unfortunate women you've been attacking.

Do you have hobbies, honey? Cortisol is bad for you. Don't stress so much over what I think of your labor!

Well, if you are 13:37, I am talking to you and specifically addressing that 13:37 post. I'm not mistaking you for anyone else and I haven't "attacked" anyone. I'm just calling you out and you clearly can't handle it, as the last line of your previous post clearly indicates.

Whoa, you're a total freak! I'm going to let you have the last word. You need it more than I do!

Sorry, your attempt at being clever just falls flat, and, yet again, to boot, you make no sense. If you were going to give me the last word, you wouldn't have responded. You are reduced to calling me a freak, because I criticize your post. Very sad.

Ok. Y'all are hormonal. Start the thread over when your kids are all 10 and see how it goes.

There is some Whacky Lady Who Hates Natural Birthers on this thread. I honestly think she is going back and forth with herself, here on the last couple pages.

All I can say right now is that you couldn't pay me enough to be an OB, midwife or labor and delivery nurse. This is so ridiculous.

And you wouldn't keep posting trying about how natural birth is better...

Obviously, you have me confused with another poster. Get your facts straight before you respond.

I was supporting your point. Not disagreeing with it. Geez...

This just confirms to me that most parents do not really know what happens to their babies in the hospital. For example, every single baby born by cesarean, and every single baby born with meconium, gets deep suctioning - at least at the hospitals where I have worked. If you have friends whose babies were born by cesarean in DC, their baby received this.

Also, not that this thread is about home vs. hospital birth (as if we need to open up that can of worms...) but honestly, I would be fascinated to see any well-documented data you can find that demonstrates that there is a higher risk of fetal or maternal death as a result of planned home birth where a professional maternity care provider is present.

They all go through "aggressive deep suctioning"? My first baby was born with meconium (I take it you mean, when my waters broke, there was meconium in it). They checked him out a little at birth, but no "aggressive deep suctioning". At this was at Sibley. Exaggerating doesn't help you make your point.

I don't see any anti-natural birthers on this thread. I see people asking some adamant natural births to back off in their judgments of those who go in a different direction.

Geez.
