According to the massively sourced Post article on Trump’s calls with foreign leaders, he told May that he didn’t believe the UK intelligence that Putin has the Skripals poisoned. So hopefully they’re skeptical of every damn thing he says.

Okay Parliamentary law nerds. Help an American lawyer out. How much power does Johnson have to make this call. Because Parliment is not going to play ball. Can he get around that?

Britain has the "supremacy of Parliament" doctrine, meaning that they can do whatever they want. If they vote that he can't help his friend Donald, then he can't do it. If he disobeys, they can vote him out of office by simple majority.

No. We have to build relationships with the host country counterparts and ask them for assistance every single day in every single country we have an open embassy. There will s nothing crazy about it, this is how US government works.
