DH doesn’t think this is a bad idea

If I were OP, I wouldn't comment again, either. Too many hags in attack mode. So weird that people get so worked up.

This. I can't imagine completely missing out on life for years because of naps.

I've known people like you. You have an easy kid who will nap anywhere and look askance at others who don't drag their kids all over kingdom come because they have kids who don't nap just anywhere and need their sleep.

I don't begrudge you you're fun, but stop with the judgment and keep your yap shut.

My kids didn't nap everywhere but we still took them on vacation. Yes, we didn't sleep as well but we still had fun. It wasn't worth stopping everything for years. So you keep your yap shut.

You seem to have missed the point. No one is criticizing you for taking your children on vacation. The criticism is about judging others who don't.

If you can't keep up, better not to comment. You just look like fool.

So you're kind of giving a mixed message here. Everyone is saying - go, it's so easy, people are being ridiculous to stop traveling for a couple of years. I think here you acknowledge it IS somewhat difficult.
Your tolerance for what is "worth it" certainly could be different from another family based on father's involvement, overall stress, personality of a baby and a million other things...

I'm not giving a mixed message. You basically just failed to read what I wrote. I don't think traveling is as easy as being home. You have to pack, you're in a different bed, etc. The anti-vacation people seem to think that there's no point in going anywhere unless it's better than being at home, but what they seem to fail to realize is that while not every single thing is better than being at home, the overall trip is better because of new experiences, down time you wouldn't otherwise have, etc. Of course my tolerance could be different from everyone else's (I never said otherwise...), and if you want to keep convincing yourself that you should never go anywhere, then go ahead. It's no skin off my back.

Not PP, but just because a trip can have difficulties doesn't mean you shouldn't go. Of course there are elements of traveling with young kids that are hard. But there are also wonderful perks. A trip doesn't have to be easy to be worth going.

Of course not, but people are giving OP so much grief she’s a whiner and they can’t understand why she wouldn’t go. Is it that hard to see the perks don’t outweigh the difficulties for OP?

OP refuses to acknowledge a single perk of going. So if she can't see any, then she should definitely stay at home. Others are just pointing out what all the perks could be.

Who looks like a fool? It's actually you... The post that was responded to was totally judgy. But there's clearly no rationalizing with people like you so keep thinking you're the one who looks good here...

Pretty sure you are the last three posters. Why are you so angry and defensive?
Dead horse is dead. You’re not adding anything.
