h1n1 shot reaction - hives

Anonymous
My daughter is 18. She and I got a flu that combined seasonal and H1N1 shot on October 6. On October 8 she broke put on a rash on her neck and later on her arms near her wrists and her legs. She has had a rash that comes and goes, but never disappears that has been on her face, her arms her legs her thighs - pretty much everywhere and it is just now starting to disappear after 7 weeks. Doctors are stumped, but I'm convinced it's a reaction to the vaccine. It changed in characteristics too, sometimes blotchy, sometimes hivey, sometimes bite-like.

I received the H1N1 shot and started to itch 3 days later, after a week I got a rash on my outside upper thighs. I have had the for over a week and it's getting worse. The itching at night is horrible. I am taking Benadryl.

Hmmm....interesting. My child had hives from this flu shot in October of 2009 as well, but we are in Cincinnati. No egg allergy either. They would not do the follow up booster. We don't do the flu shot for this reason.
