Piece of trash, maybe. Spineless - definitely not. She can lie with a straight face, which is a good trait for a traitor. |
I really don't think they do understand that. I've read this same dumb comment so many times. People, the NYTimes knows who it is. They have verified the source. I think we will know in a few days. This wasn't designed to remain anonymous. |
I posted above and part of me thinks this is BS, too. Moreover, as David Frum points out, it just opens the floodgates on Trumps paranoia. Now he can purge the White House and indulge his despotic tendencies with cause. |
Based on the writing, it's someone involved in foreign policy, national security, and military, or with that background. The emphasis on diplomacy, academic references pretty much make that a slam dunk. And it has to be someone who has been around long enough to be able to talk about events early on (25th amendment).
So there you go: someone like Matthis, Dan Coats, Pompeo or Kelly. |
Go bury your head in the sand. November is going to make you tear your hair out ![]() |
it isn't kelly or pompeo. i don't think it is a principal level staff but someone just under reporting to a principal level person. probably someone at the nsc. |
it is not this hillbilly cow. |
good catch. that's a very cato, reason magazine, koch, type thing. |
But it also has to be someone who really cares about tax giveaways and some other conervative agenda items. |
her foreign policy decisions are awful as well. i mean unless you are a hardcore likudnik. she pretty much runs every UN position through the prime miniter's office first. |
upon further consideration IMO it is nikki haley. Her speechwriter is Jonah Goldberg's (National Review) wife so it is easy for her to have someone write the the whole 'free minds, free markets' shit. Haley cares about the tax cut, hard core deregulation agenda. Once trump is out of office, haley can out herself to position herself to show 'hey look i was trying to keep the presidency on track - so give it to me'. |
You don't have to be religious to care about morality |
It’s not Pompeo. He’s almost as bad as Trump. I think it’s Matthis. |
I agree these folks are cowardly for not doing something more about it, but that doesn't make what they said not true, which is what you insinuated. |
No way, no how it is Mattis. He’d stand up and do it publicly. I’m leaning Coats or Haley. |
