So which Team is Eugene on now? He made note of the guy stealing stuff, but didn't report it.
Got that song stuck in my head again. |
| I am under the impression that Eugeneb really did change teams. He finally feels appreciated. I hope I am wrong. But the way Rosita treated him was not nice and now he's where he has some power. That smile he had when he walked away with a jar pickles was eerie to me |
|
At first I thought he was just playing along to save his skin, or even using his smarty-pants brain to manipulate Negan. I thought there is no way he would turn after what he saw Negan do to Abraham and Glen. But by the end he definitely was team Negan, to the point where I bet he would refuse to go back to Alexandria if Rick begged him. Negan knows how to read people, he knew he couldn't manipulate Daryl or Rick so he had to break them to get them to comply. But Eugene is naive and can be manipulated with fear tactics and flattery/respect (even false respect). I was even kinda happy for Eugene, he had respect, a nice little pad, video games, women, fresh food,... and pickles!
I think Negan will use him somehow against Alexandria and then Eugene will be so remorseful he won't be able to handle it |
| I think Eugene will surprise Negan and everyone else by doing something heroic for the Alexandrians. |
| An entire episode spent gathering guns at the carnival grounds. Anyone else wonder why they just didn't pick up one of the rifles and shoot all the walkers instead of having to stab them all? More filler... |
because firing guns draws more walkers and they need to save the ammo? |
+1 how do you not know by now that loud noise attracts more? |
| They did a good job attracting them all in other ways. Ok then, why do they abandon the tried and true methods of disguise that have worked before like wiping themselves in walker blood? They could have avoided pretty much everything in that episode... |
Because they needed to carry everything out and covering in blood only works if you don't attract attention in other ways. Come on now... you should know this. |
|
Also, you are talking about Rick and Michonne- they are pretty capable of handling themselves against large numbers of walkers, it would be silly to go through the walker guts disguise for every single confrontation when they have fought off way more with less for years now.
I get people think bottle episodes and the way the story has progressed the last couple of seasons has been slow. There are times I might agree with that assessment but I also think these episodes seem to hold up better on the binge watch, we are becoming spoiled by the way we ingest television these days. Your complaints about this episode are really nitpicky, the second half of the season has been far better in terms of pacing IMHO. |

I don't know, I'm a huge fan. There's little they can do to offend me. I really dig Richonne too so I was psyched for this. But the episode was just silly in many respects. Falling through a roof and landing ... on a soft cushiony surface! Right by food! And the computer generated deer looked terrible. The fake Rick death was cheap, the Michonne reaction shots were overacted the, the "throw her the sword" thing was melodramatic.
I could watch Andrew Lincoln for hours. Great actors but the producers I guess did a crappy job with this. |
My husband and I talked about the deer. We decided it looked so fake to keep animal rights people from thinking a ,real animal was used. |
| This show is just out of steam. It's not interesting any longer. |
| I liked that there was some peace and happiness in the episode, if short-lived. |
I am still enjoying this it I love Richonne and am looking forward to next Sunday. |
