Future of Brent Pk3?

When you're shut out, you get down, you feel cheated, frustrated and alienated. But then you bond with lovely families you get to know with where you land. You arrive at Brent for K and soon feel welcomed. Time flies and you calm down and buck up. This too shall pass, PPs.

Yes, ECE and K families who were shut out, get on the LSAT!

+100 Please get involved as this perspective is needed in the community. You'll be speaking for the 50+ other IB families that have been shut out.

I'm stating the obvious in noting that this is not a group of politically powerful parents within the school community. It's going to take two or three years before some of the shut-out parents move into leadership positions on the LSAT, PTA Board etc. I know of only one shut-out parent on either body. The ambitious principal won't stay forever. Perhaps when he goes, a new generation of parent leaders will work to change this calculus. But I can't see it happening until the current K kids are in 2nd or 3rd grade.

There are three seats on the LSAT up for election. Plenty of opportunity for parents of rising 1st Graders shut out of PK to step up.

Looking forward to having the whiners on this thread sign up!

Bueller? Anyone? Crickets?

Hard to have a seat at the table when you're shut out. Maybe in a couple of years!

Im pretty sure the LSAT is required to have a community member who doesn't have a child at the school.
