Seems we are more tolerant of these types of pretentious names when they are in a different language. We'd be all over a person who name their kid King.

Uhhh. . .anyone from a spanish speaking country?? I've known a few people named Mercedes and they aren't at all pretentious, and all of them were from Spain or South America.
