If you want to prove that there is grade inflation in MCPS, then you will have to: 1. provide data on the proportion of grades in MCPS that are As 2. demonstrate that many of those As were undeserved Or you can just keep talking about how you don't need data to prove that there is grade inflation in MCPS, because it's obvious. |
No, I would fire Starr immediately if he hired a $2 million consultant to solve this "mystery" rather than assign a high school student in Statistics to look at the data for a homework assignment. There is rampant grade inflation in MCPS. One doesn't need sophisticated statistics to prove this. A cursory review of the data with open eyes proves the point alone. |
Oh, are you a $2 million consultant? How exciting. Saying something over and over and over doesn't make it true. |
The poster through MCPS has provided all the data needed to draw conclusions.
Based on the data MCPS provides I tend to agree with the assertion about grade inflation. Nevertheless, this is not surprising as this phenomenon exists at both the college and high school level in many school districts in the country. It stands to reason (even with shut eyes) MCPS would be no different. |
...And you graduated from Wharton (SE D.C.) |
Stop sock-puppetting yourself. It's pathetic. |
This refrain always seems to appear out of the mouth of the vanquished (for lack of argument). I guess we are witnessing the familiar terminal angst and gasps from Ms Wharton. We are now entering the 'beached-whale" phase of a typical DCUM discussion. |
Not PP, but you are awful and should not be a teacher. I have no doubt from your atupidity and bad attitude you are an awful one. Your comparison of yourself yo an obgyn is also hilarious. Trust me honey, that ed degree ain't med school. And if i saw my doctor doing something that appeared totally wrong and damaging, you bet i would ask questions. And your use of"precious snowflake" sarcasm is disgusting. I am supposed to trust my kid's care and educationy to someone with nothing but contempt for children? Out yourself and leave your job. You area disgrace. |

Well I guess the poster was right about the final agonal phases and gasps of an argument trail with the above post out of left field.
The frequent hiding behind the term sock pupeting marks the vanquished throwing in the towel...like a "beached whale". |
If only you had friends. Then you wouldn't be trolling and posting made-up facts on DCUM. |
Throwing in the towel like a beached whale. That's funny. ![]() |
Posters with a vocabulary limited to "trolling" and "sock puppeting" are beached whales. Those in denial about the facts of rampant grade inflation in MCPS are living in another psychological dimension with no grounding in present day reality. |
Who knows? Who cares? Some are. That's enough for them to matter. Just like kids in any other percentile. |
We now have data on what percentage have straight As on their report cards and/or on the MCPS honor rolls?
A very high percentage I'd say. |
