My kid is at Gonzaga, and social justice is pretty much a hallmark of Jesuit education, and there are tons of Republicans there.

Depends what you mean by "Social Justice". Liberals seem to define it as anything that falls into the current Liberal orthodoxy.

That's not what the Jesuits are teaching.

The Gonzaga crowd (Alumni, parents, etc.) lean pretty heavily towards Conservative.

They are socially liberal but fiscally conservative.

Which means they care more about their money than other people's civil rights.

Oh please. If they are socially liberal (which they are), they are very concerned about people's civil rights. The conservative side comes mainly from the pro-life stance.

Yawn. No. They vote for tax breaks, corporate welfare, and anything that will boost their investments/kids inheritance even if that means they are voting for people that violate other people's civil right, btw reproductive rights is a civil right.... just because their kids have a soup kitchen in their school doesn't mean they give a $hit about others, cause they don't. They care about $$$$.

I remember she was complaing about the private schools not wanting her family. Did her kids ever get a school or are they wandering the streets to this day?

Reproductive rights have nothing to do with a baby.

Defunding Pap Smears does not save the lives of babies.

NP. Pretty typical trash Liberal ideology, where "civil rights" mean access to your money. Buzz off, loser.

Pretty typical response when you can't argue your point. Ad Hominen responses is the same as a white flag.

Enjoy it while it lasts cause St. Peter is going have a field day with you.

In case you haven't noticed, I did argue a point, which you chose to ignore. Civil liberties =\= access to my money. You got nothing, instead insinuating I'll go to hell? Well, hell doesn't exist. It's just another figment of your delusional little brain.

I know for a fact they have their eye on St.A, but it's too early to tell if DS would get in, or when.

Well that's ONE family, which is pretty close to meaningless, I'm sure you'll agree.

These schools mentioned serve the political - legal - lobbying groups in the City. it may be that this as Conservative family is attracted by that and not the political bent of the majority. They are, after all, pretty much birds of a feather in a larger sense.

So you are a non-believing conservative that has children at Gonzaga?

Just to answer the original question, in our experience the Catholic schools are reasonably conservative (by that I mean not insanely liberal) though I've heard Stone Ridge might be the exception there. The culture at St. Albans also is "conservative" in that way, though NCS is not. In my experience NCS epitomizes the very worst tendencies of liberalism in schools in that conservative ideas are openly trashed in classrooms and students are not given space to come to their own conclusions about controversial topics.

And a free Pap smear isn't a right, civil or otherwise. If you want that, move to Europe (of course, you'll only get one after age 50 or something, but knock yourself out.)

In other words Stone Ridge and NCS are girls' school that supports women and women's rights, unlike conservatives.
