Brenda Diaz's strong showing is an indication of how poorly the community thinks of the current board's performance. She has chosen a chameleon's approach to her recent rhetoric, but we should consider whether someone with her intolerance and poor track record should be given a seat at the table.
If people are trying to fix the BOE by electing a Brenda Diaz, they are looking in the wrong direction. We should fix state law to make county superintendents less powerful in the state of Maryland. We need to empower local boards of education. |
When you lie it makes it obvious that you're desperate. Link to the "Heritage Foundation Curriculum" and her support for it or shut up. |
Who shot up a school? You love assault rifles in the hands of superintendents and boe members? |
Hi Brenda. |
+1 |
Why can’t all board members have guns? |
I'm not Brenda Diaz. If you have evidence of your claim, provide it. Otherwise, what I found is that the Heritage Foundation doesn't provide a curriculum. It provides links to some curricula (here: https://www.heritage.org/curricula-resource-initiative/curriculum-library), but these are so incredibly broad that calling them the "Heritage Foundation Curriculum" is ridiculous. There's links to MIT, Librivox, and the Uffizi on there. These links include Core Knowledge, which the current BOE already selected for elementary school ELA, do you think they only want girls learning to cook, too? |
What's wrong with teaching girls to cook? We have so much kids obesity in this country. Not a bad idea to teach proper cooking. Good cooking=healthy life. |
