Lots of corpses in Varanasi b/c of its location on the holy Ganges and it being a super sacred place for Hindus to be cremated.

I've not been to India, but I've been to many countries in Europe.
So far, worst city is a small one in the US - Key West.
I might add - I'm from the suburbs in the midwest with lots of room for trash depositing (dumps) and people with large spaces (houses and yards) to maintain themselves and take pride in their lawn's appearance.
Garbage comes weekly and everything is sparkling clean. I've never seen a rat..
Any piles of crap or smells or unmaintained property would shock me. Pretty privileged.
