Most unclean city you have visited during your travels

The other thread about which city you absolutely hate prompted this thread.

Tell me which city was the most unclean one you have visited.

I will go first - Lisbon, especially parts of Chiado

Definitely Delhi.

Even in India, there's no competition.

Marseille

Dog poop and spit everywhere, wanted to turn the city on it side and hose its streets and sidewalk down to give it a good rinse.

Delhi is definitely terrible but Jaipur could compete.
India provides lots of competition.

In the US we visited Cincinnati several times and started calling it CincinnNASTY.

I didn't get out of the car in the parts of town that were sketchy. I was there right after Holi so people were enjoying themselves.

The most viscerally dirty place for me was Tijuana in the 90s. It may have changed. My DH and I were college students on a day trip. We bought crafts from a seemingly 3 year old child beggar with a handful of merchandise. I've never forgotten that.

Next up...the nightclub district in Bali. I ate or drank something there that made me sick. All the restaurants outside of tourist resorts looked grimy.

Op. I saw local people spitting on the sidewalk in Lisbon and was shocked.

And the smell of cigarettes and the amount of cigarette butts on the ground - it was unthinkable. Don't they know it causes cancer?
