Another ICE Shooting in Minnesota

Anonymous
Big, strong armed men with bulletproof vests shoot to kill when they even see a gun. Yet Republicans are entirely responsible for the open carry laws that made that victim’s behavior legal in Minnesota.

So is it every American’s constitutional right to walk around with a gun or is it a grossly, threatening behavior that merits the death penalty?

The situation is too volatile in Minneapolis. But Trump and Miller, being who they are, will double down. And it will be their undoing.

+1

Honestly, most illegal immigrants would be in Southern red states who welcome ICE. Any MAGAs want to explain why the government isn't going after the higher number of illegals there??? Where is the TX blitz??

What I DO NOT buy is local LE being shut out and witnesses being taken to Whipple. They want cooperation from local LE? Then they should PROVIDE cooperation. I truly am beginning the think part of the plan is to create more hostility to local PD in the population. I have argued on reddit with people who are angry about the PD arresting the clergy protesters at the airport.
(s/o the Blooming PD chief has spoken, very articulately, about the real problem being the lack of immigration reform and laws that, even if ICE were to pack up and leave, mean people will continue to live in fear).

Please provide concrete evidence that local police are not cooperating with ice. And then please define what cooperation means. The state head of prisons held a press conference several days ago pushing back on ICE claims that they are not cooperating.

The chief of police just said it.

Why would you believe ICE saying we are doing everything right?

Definitely not justified if ICE took the victim's gun out of it's holster and then shot him.

It's also not justified if the guy happened to be carrying a gun. He clearly wasn't pointing one at the ICE agents while he was being beaten up.

If they wrestle you to the ground to the point (for simply recording them) that your coat falls open to reveal your legally obtained and carried gun, apparently that is "brandishing." And then per conservative libertarian CATO analysis of the video, .they take the weapon successfully, and still shoot you AFTER they take it.

Mark Johnson, the Republican leader in the Minnesota Senate, issued a statement accusing Gov. Tim Walz of using “inflammatory rhetoric” and saying that the governor’s “actions have turned this into a propaganda war.” Johnson called for “all levels of government to come to the table and cooperate to keep people safe.”

And since when is pistol-whipping a guy with multiple armed men already sitting on top of him justified ?

Sending masked agents out on a city and doing random stops is an inflammatory action.

Good question. I’m an American who grew up in a range of countries on four continents and none of them had opened carry. How on earth are we supposed to tell the “good guys” from the “bad guys” when so many states have open carry? You can see how easily things can go wrong in volatile situations.

I think the inflammatory rhetoric is the excessively violent federal agents doing things like shooting people or deploying an entire canister of pepper spray in someone's face.

They are trying to scare people out of filming. It’s a big problem for the Admin.

I’ve watched several of the videos and there isn’t a single one where this guy has a gun in his hand. There was zero threat to the agents.

“Minneapolis police chief Brian O’Hara has said the city authorities know the identity of the man killed by federal officers this morning, but the name is not being released at this time.

He described the person shot dead as a white man, a resident of the city and a US citizen. O’Hara said the victim was 37 years old. Wire services had previously said the man was 51.”

What did the chief of police just say? I’m confused. I’m actually the OP who started this thread and I 100% don’t believe ICE or any other agency in the current government.

There are videos of agents beating witnesses and taking phones. They know they did something wrong.
