If you feel like sharing random thoughts with the Internet fine, but from my perspective there’s easier ways to get out of being a principal (blame family needs, a health condition) than defaming a teacher and having to admit it on the stand to a jury.

What if he thought he would have been transfered to CO back when the Engler incident was first reported (easy way to get out of BCC) but CO didn't toss him nor did they send him to CO.

What does Montgomery County council Education committee member Jwando say after this lawsuit?

Possible. But Maybe you have a career in writing MCPS admin fanfic.

Nothing. He's a coward.

I don’t know if Engler was a racist but I do know he was part of a trio of terrible, arrogant IB teachers at BCC, Holpt, Engler and Sir (I mean Mr.) Richard. I suspect there was some truth the claims of racism but unfortunately Mooney fumbled it.

One of the colleagues used to have issues with him as well. She felt talked down and that he was a bit chauvinistic on his replies to her. I didn’t spoke to the dude or witnessed their interactions, but that’s what she told me.

Agreed

And posts like this are why the former BCC teacher deserves every penny of the 515K settlement. Even with a jury finding that MCPS defamed him, the stain of the accusations made will haunt him for life.

Truth. Had a lot of conversations about Dan Engler's chauvinism with my DD who took his IB English course and had many other interactions with him. But, sadly, chauvinism is not an "offense" in the workplace or the larger world.

Lots of teachers have bias and this teacher may but that's not the topic of what happened.
