The party dress is good but what the —— is that pink shirtdress thing with a TRAIN that she’s wearing to walk down the street with Miranda? |
Dress was stunning. |
the ending scene with her in her dress and in the nice apartment rooms (with the balloons) was all I came for |
What a gorgeous shot. |
I didn’t like the fit of the dress from the profile. It bulged at her belly which we know is flat. |
https://www.wmagazine.com/fashion/and-just-like-that-fashion-recap-season-three-episode-seven-where-to-shop Hmm I've seen every dress located but no mention of her green party dress. |
It’s dreadful and I have grown to hate every character - but I keep watching.
What did Miranda ever do to warrant her terrible character arc? |
This last episode at least had me laughing out loud. It was so ridiculous! |
My musings:
1. Why hasn't Carrie even attempted to decorate her new home? 2. Where is Steve? Poor Steve. 3. Seema is too grouchy and drab to be so picky and high-handed all the time. 4. Kristin Davis's facial expressions are straight out of a middle-school musical. |
As if she would be opening presents in front of everyone at a birthday party. Just so ridiculous. And cynical Miranda would never be so enthusiastic about the karaoke |
1. She’s grieving and traumatized, and I don’t think she loves this place as much as she wanted to. It’s huge. You’ll notice she’s decorated corners of the place, like a cocoon. 2. His character isn’t important right now. He’s a side character to one of the main characters and a side character to a side character (Brady) I do agree though, poor Steve! 3. Seema wants it all, but I think she’s also deep down very insecure. I think she is finding out through the gardener that maybe the things she thought mattered, actually don’t. 4. She’s regressed as an actress. I know she had work done, then reversed, but she needs to just stop with the faces. |
I am so grateful for this outlet.
I think the producers and writers are treating this show as a cash how. I can see how they were all “having a blast writing storylines for the beloved characters,” but boy could they have aimed higher… My cringeworthy/hair pulling moments (I know some of these were mentioned above): 1. Carrie hosting Miranda and making a big deal about a yogurt and a banana… huh? Miranda always apologizing to Carrie… and frankly everybody… 2. Seema does not have $$$ after being an equity holder at a successful NY RE agency and selling RE for years…? 3. Some scenes are out of context and feel like they’ve been written solely for some punchline… They should have instead explored: >Retirement planning (investing, second homes, thoughts on relocating, importance of financial independence) >Carrie/Lizette (is Carrie’s dating experience still relevant? How have norms changed?) >staying fit and healthy >managing parent care >and fun, Carrie’s house decorating (trends vs making it her own) >plastic surgery /aging naturally >NYC vs London /Paris (it’s good to come home) >running into old bfs (Trey with four kids, Petrovsky with a new “muse”, Steve becoming buff mount climbing instructor and dating…) |
Kristin Davis's puppy-dog expressions are just soooooooooo bad. Remarkably bad. |
Yeah I commented on this upthread - it is crazymaking. |
Plastic surgery was briefly explored with carrie, wasn’t it? Same with second homes (when Carrie bailed on going in with Seema). Agree story lines are just thrown in and then they dip out without further discussion. Harry’s dad, the neighborhood ask app, Carrie’s driver’s license, college app prep for the teens, etc. Seems would not only have money, but In the white jumpsuit before the party, Carrie had flats on. Thought she never wore flats. We hear bits of Carrie’s novel…no legit author is telling her it is amazing. It is not. Breadshop’s boyfriend’s mom would not be so rude. Carrie wouldn’t have planned to meet her without first - on her own - telling Anthony. His acting when he realized he was actually meeting the mom for the first time was horrible. It’s a mess and I am mad at myself That I am wasting time on it. I’d have more respect for the writers if they let interns write it for the exposure and experience. At least then, something good would come out of it. |
